A custom drawing inked and ready for digitisation and tidy up, "PM for Nailclippers" is a good working title - not sure if it will translate well into a blank in terms of finer detail, but we will see!

Whilst the end result can look cool, I'm a doodler at best when it comes to drawing. Regardles, most of the blanks develop from simple pencil doodles which I go over with ink before taking a digital image to do the technical bits. These are two fresh doodles of familiar themes which might make it to prototyping, maybe not......time will tell. I'll highlight the next part of the process in a future post......PS I love dogs really!

A test piece using some fab Brian Bolland artwork, in order to to experiment with techniques using super thin areas of transparency for illumination. One for the 2000AD fans I guess! Only 5 of these were made and won't be for sale, but some will probably feature in a future giveaway 🙂

So things have been very quiet for Drawing a Blank due to the "day job" which has involved long hours responding to Covid-19 - A small ray of sunshine in amongst all that is a forthcoming creative collaboration with purveyors of high quality, ethically sourced, screen printed t shirts, 1 of 100. Analogue Android coming soon!
