One of the ways to simplify and streamline your business is by leveraging AI.

If that sounds overwhelming, it doesn’t need to be. Here’s a sneak peek at two key strategies:

1️⃣ Streamline what you already do to free up your time and improve quality.

2️⃣ Tap into new opportunities that seemed out of reach before.

While it’s tempting to dive into the new and exciting (I get it, I’m a visionary too!), honing in on your existing processes can dramatically enhance how you scale.💡

Curious how this can transform your business?

Are you more of a behind-the-scenes person or an out-front face-of-the-company type of person?

Where are you most comfortable?

🎬 My happy place is .

Setting and orchestrating the vision, optimizing the outcomes, and curating an amazing client experience.

📷 It wasn't even until 2019 that I regularly got in front of the camera, despite being a business owner for decades.

When I had to, I would show up - being interviewed for TV, being filmed in a documentary, etc. but I was always SO NERVOUS! 🤦‍♀️

As soon as it was over, I would go back to hiding behind the scenes.

In fact, this photoshoot was the 1st one where I allowed myself to be photographed as PART of a photoshoot instead of just directing it.

So, why the change?

I realized that by staying , I was actually staying in my comfort zone.

And my next level was going to require me to step out in front more.

It was super uncomfortable, and I had ALL THE DOUBTS.

✖ "I'm not in my 20s anymore (or my 30s 😆). I have so much weight to lose. Why would anyone want to see me when my clients, my team, my retreats, my jewelry, my planners, my 'anything-but-me' are all far more interesting..."

✖ "I have been really successful for 20 years, why change now?"

✖ "I'm not good on video or in photos, I should stick with what I do best."

Of course, most of those thoughts were just .

Today I am really comfortable in front of the camera so it's hard to even remember how uncomfortable I felt back then, but I did.

🤷‍♀️ Have you ever had an inner dialog like that one?

It may not be about getting in front of the camera, but we all have areas where we justify to ourselves all the reasons to stay right where we are.

💥 It's the things that are the most uncomfortable but that we know we need to and want to do that are the biggest catalysts for stepping into our .

👉 As you start to think about the new month ahead, it's a great time to ask yourself where you need to step outside your comfort zone.

I know I have my next major uplevel underway so I am back to doing lots of things outside my comfort zone.

Are you happy with your business? ⬇

"Happiness comes from being who you actually are instead of who you think you are supposed to be."

Love this and I think this is as true in life as it is in business.

So I'll ask again - are you happy with your business?

✔ Are you allowing it to be the business you actually want it to be?
✔ Does your business model fit the type of business and lifestyle you actually want?

❌ Or are you doing what you think you're "supposed to" do?
❌ Are you stuck in a business model you don't love?

If it's feeling like time to reimagine ANY part of your business, whether it's a small change or a big shift, now is the time.

There is no need to waste another minute feeling stuck doing something you no longer love or that no longer feels .

YOU get to define what success and happiness look like for yourself and your business.

And there is always a way to successfully transition and evolve what you do today to what you want to do tomorrow.

If you want any support reimagining your next level and building the bridge from what you have today to where you want to go next, let's chat.

I just opened up a rare space to work together 1-on-1 this year.

Drop me a DM or set up a time to chat at http://leanoutmethod.com/consult (link in bio).

I'd love to hear - how have you made shifts in your business to better align it with what makes YOU happy?

And in other news, I found some photos from a few years ago taken with my best little buddies Chewy & Kenobi 🐶! They made me happy so I'm sharing these oldies but goodies. 💕

One of the things I love most about surrounding myself with other entrepreneurs is the spirit of possibility.

The belief that .

And the innovative ways in which we get there.

Because as entrepreneurs we make the impossible and improbable happen all the damn time!

And I am so here for it. Who's with me? 🙋‍♀️

🤔 Are you finding AI helpful or distracting in your business?

No matter how helpful and time-saving AI (or any tool and technology) can be, it can also run the risk of becoming a bright shiny object and distraction without the right intentionality and strategic focus.

So how do we leverage AI in a meaningful way that allows us to become more efficient, productive, and increase quality without losing our focus (or our brand voice) in the process?

That's what I am diving into in this week's episode of the , where I take you behind the scenes of how I am using AI in my businesses.

I share the very big difference between what I call "AI-created" and "AI-enabled" and what to watch out for to avoid adding to the noise online and getting penalized by Google for doing so, plus:

🔹 The 2 (and only 2) use cases for AI to ensure its adding value

🔹 Tips to automate and streamline with AI, not add complexity

🔹 Tools that bring out the best in your content and simplify repurposing

🔹 How to maintain and even strengthen your brand voice when using AI

🔹 What NOT to do if you want to avoid damaging your brand

🔹 Things you may not realize AI can do that will save you time and money

I have a LOT to say on this topic, so be on the lookout for part 2 coming in 2 weeks.

Productivity is important, but all the in the world aren't going to help you if you are working on the wrong things.

You'll just get the wrong things done faster.

Which I guess is better than getting the wrong things done slower, but... 😆

Before you dive into optimizing HOW you and your team are working, make sure you know that WHAT you are working on are the right things.

Then be as productive as possible on those things.

Yesterday marked another trip around the sun! 🌞

And what a year it was filled with so many ups and downs.

While these last few years have been filled with an abundance of travel, this past year was quieter with a focus on my relationships and my health plus laying the foundation for my new business venture.

It was just what I needed and gave me the space to envision the new division of that I am so excited to be launching this quarter.

A few highlights since 4/21/23:

🐶 Added Wulfy to the family!

👰🏼 Celebrated my 18th wedding anniversary

🔹 Hosted some incredible client including one poolside (my favorite way to lead a VIP Day!)

🚀 Kicked off multiple cohorts of

🌟 Expanded my team to support the business growth, adding Serra, Erica, and Elizah

🔥 Took on another large scale consulting client after finding myself missing transforming and scaling the multi-billion dollar businesses I used to consult with

💗 Committed to dramatically improving my relationships, health, & wellness

🎾 Started playing pickleball - I'm not very good but it's really fun!

🌑 Watched the eclipse which was incredible!

🎉 My birthday trip to Chicago spent with my husband and business bestie!

Plus it was a year full of memories and laughs with my family, friends, clients, and mentors...

Plus endless games of catch with Remi who turned 2 in February!

Overall it was a really great year that turned into so many positives even when navigating a few really big challenges.

It was a bridge year of sorts and I can't wait to see what the new year brings!!

Thank you to everyone who made this past year so special! 🖤🖤🖤

As you are trying to level up your business, be sure to carve out time to actually EXPERIENCE life.

What I see a lot of business owners do, and something I used to do myself when I started my first business, is working, working, working, at the expense of ALL other things.

Investing all of the efforts now for some future pay-off.

Not seeing family and friends...

Not taking time for self-care...

Not doing the things we used to love doing...

Because right now we are building a business - we'll do those things later after we have achieved a certain level of success or a certain amount of $ wealth...

Right? Wrong. 🤦‍♀️

We get so heads down and focused on our work that we forget why we are building a business in the first place.

It is all about FREEDOM, FLEXIBILITY, and IMPACT. At least to me, that is the definition of wealth.

Not a certain dollar amount in the bank, or some self-imposed achievement that will make a business a "success".

My trip to Necker Island was the experience of a lifetime! And something that had been on my bucket list for years.

But I equally love smaller experiences, like this weekend.

I am celebrating my birthday in Chicago this weekend with my husband and business bestie, planning out the launch of the new division of combined with spa days and quality-time with Jeremy.

How about you?

What do you want to experience to create a rich fulfilled business and life?

he reality is that it takes a combination of strategy, planning, systems, team, and insights to successfully and sustainably scale a business.

The simplest way to think about SPSTI:

🔹 S: Right things
🔹 P: Right time
🔹 S: Right way
🔹 T: Right people
🔹 I: Right results

It's typically a small shift to one of those areas for a big impact on your scalability and sustainability.

Ever wonder why some messaging resonates and leads to sales and some falls flat?

A key part of successful sales is crafting authentic and high-converting messaging that connects on a deeper level and that shows you understand your audience.

It's also important to avoid many of the common sales and messaging mistakes like overselling, underselling, and unselling. Or using complex industry jargon.

On this week's episode of the , I am joined by Justine Beauregard, an expert sales coach + trainer who helps people grow businesses and have objection-free sales conversations that are enjoyable from start to finish.

She shares the nuances to crafting messages that not only resonate with diverse audiences but also maintain the integrity of your brand including:

🔹 The art of authentic selling techniques
🔹 Why specificity in your pitch can make or break a sale
🔹 Adjusting your message for clarity and impact
🔹 The importance of understanding your audience's needs
🔹 Using curiosity as a tool in sales conversations

Takeaway: Fine-tuning your sales message can dramatically improve your results.

Have you ever gone into a conversation with a service provider or coach excited about the possibility of working with them 1:1 or joining their program only to leave feeling frustrated and disappointed?

As I have been pursuing my personal goal of improved health and wellness this year, I have had numerous conversations with different service providers.

Many of them were great and I have found some incredible people to work with! But a few of them stood out as being surprisingly poor experiences that resulted in me not hiring them...

In this week's episode of the , I break down each of the 3 sales experiences, what the person did that resulted in a lost sale, and what I would do differently including:

🔹How to avoid coming across as opportunistic vs. interested

🔹How focusing on the quick win can impact customer lifetime value

🔹3 critical things that erode trust and confidence when missing

It's a great reminder of what works and what doesn't as buying patterns have shifted, as each of these people were seasoned business owners and not new to selling their work.

I can't help but wonder if they realize that their approach, NOT their offer, was what lost the sale and caused me to hire someone else instead.

If you're thinking about raising your prices this quarter, here are some important things to think through:

1️⃣ Determine when to raise prices based on your marketing and launch plans

2️⃣ Plan how you'll raise prices and if you'll offer one last chance to invest at current rates

3️⃣ Decide if you will grandfather in current clients at their current rate and for how long

Use the price increase as a chance to remind people of all the benefits your product or service provides, and any new value you've added.

"How do you get so much done?" 🤷‍♀️

This is a question I get asked A LOT.

Usually followed by comments like:

"Do you ever sleep?" (I do)
"You must work all the time!" (I don't)
"Just how many people are on your team?!?" (not as many as you'd think)

While I do have an amazing ...

It's actually a few lean techniques that I leverage that allow me to get so much done so quickly and to be exceptionally productive.

The backbone of all of it is ensuring my team and I are focused on the right things at the right time.

Photos from The Lean Out Method's post 12/04/2024

How do you stay laser focused on what matters most without distraction but still be able to explore new ideas?

You leverage the technique I developed called The Innovation Hour.

Innovation hour = protected time and space to explore new ideas that can help take your business to the next level.

If you are stretched for time, start with 1 hour a week, but this can be expanded over time.

Every Friday is an Innovation Day for my businesses.

It's not about how much time you allocate as much as it is that you and your team have dedicated time every week for innovation and that you don't let new ideas become bright shiny objects that distract you from focusing on what matters most.

How do you foster innovation within your team?

I'd love to hear about your experiences or ideas in the comments!

Want to achieve your Q2 goals without overworking? Here's how ⬇️

If you find yourself consistently working more than you'd like, it's time to shift how you plan.

It's time for a smarter approach, leveraging what I call Capacity-Based Planning, which is part of my proprietary Lean Strategic Planning Framework.

How?

Get clear on how much you want to work and ensure you are only committing to things that can be done WITHIN that capacity.

❌ But don't commit yourself to 100% of your capacity.

✅ Commit to only 70% of your capacity – that's 28 hours in a 40-hour week.

Why?

Because without that protected space, a 40-hour work week quickly becomes a 60+ hour week.

🔹Things taking longer than expected...

🔹Things you didn't plan for come up...

🔹Priorities change...

There are countless things that can lead to overworking when you're too overscheduled and overcommitted.

Capacity-based planning is about creating space for the unexpected and preventing burnout.

It's about working smarter and always keeping things lean, luxe, and leveraged.

Learn "How to Avoid Overwork and Overwhelm With Capacity Based Planning" over on the blog and set yourself up for a successful Q2.

Which planner type resonates with you? Are you a Winger, a Psychic, or an Adapter?

I am currently an adapter but I started out my journey as more of a psychic having been a project manager for many years. How about you?

10/04/2024

Wow, how is it already Q2 and a quarter of the way through this year? 😱

As you reflect on Q1, are you feeling happy with your results and excited for the new quarter ahead?

Or are you feeling frustrated with...

🔹 Your (lack of) progress towards the big bold goals and revenue targets you set at the beginning of the year

🔹 How much you are having to work (which is too much!)

🔹 Feeling stuck in a business model you don't love and that eats up all your time, money, and joy

🔹 Not being clear about how to scale your business and your team so you can get out of the day to day

No matter where you are now, the good news is that you still have 3/4 of the year ahead of you and anything is possible!

You have 3 more quarters to double down on and amplify what's working.

And you have 3 more quarters to and transform everything that isn't producing the results you want or that no longer feels in alignment.

What are you most excited about for Q2?

For me, it's the launch of the new division of . How about you?

With Q2 right around the corner, it's time to create your 90 day plan.

As you reflect on Q1, are you feeling happy with your results and excited for the new quarter ahead...

Or are you feeling a bit behind and worried you won't hit the big bold goals and revenue targets you set?

There are a few things you can do to set yourself up for massive success in Q2:

After you reflect on the last 90 days to assess what's working and what isn't, use that as input and define your:

🎯 Q2 Goals
💰 Q2 Financial Targets
📈 Focus Number ( # of new clients you need per month)
⌛ Capacity
