Happy Friday Mountaineers!!! The Foundation Board is excited to announce that we have voted to add a new Board Member to the Governing Board for Mayacamas: Norma Ortiz.
Norma is a passionate and an empathetic advocate for students and families in Napa Valley. She has a tremendous passion advocating for all students, and has focused much of her work on behalf of our county's most vulnerable students, including English Language Learners, Special Education, and Foster Youth.
Norma's contributions and leadership continue to bring positive change to our community. She has advocated on behalf of many community organizations in Napa Valley at the district, county and state-level Boards of Education. Norma has been recognized by many of our legislators for her work, including Senator Bill Dodd and Congressman Mike Thompson. She received the Martha Mace Award for Outstanding Professional from Redwood Middle School and special recognition for going "above and beyond" from NVUSD.
