Outside Voices Pt 2
Happy smiles and beautiful people all around! Being able to meet such a diverse group of individuals all brought together by a love of spoken word and music was honestly a magical experience.
Outside Voices Part 1
I had so much fun at outside voices last Sunday! There were so many beautiful people and the energy created by the poets and artists on stage made time stand still for a little while.
Music is a universal language

The final post in my series of photographs from the album launch of Lungelo Moyo's album Thunder. It was lovely being able to reminice on that night as I was making these posts, recollecting the smiles and vibrant energy of the crowd as the music united us all.

Railways Cafe was alive on Saturday night drumming to the sounds and songs of Lungelo Moyo's album release!
The energy was electrifying and I can't wait to see more from our local artists.
Pretoria Portrait Adventures Part 2
Had some fun with these shots meeting the cool people of Hatfield.
Pretoria Portrait Adventures Part 1
I've been in Pretoria for a couple of weeks now and it's been so interesting and encouraging for me, seeing how open people are to having their photo taken by a complete stranger. These are a few of my favorite shots so far.
My little brother has a tremendous passion for collecting and restoring old things such as this record player from 1929.

This week I had the fantastic opportunity to work with Helping Hands in photographing their monkey rehabilitation operation at the foot of the stunning Hlumu-Hlumu mountains.
Helping hands is a non-profit wildlife sanctuary protecting and assisting in all aspects of wildlife but passionate about primates. They are at present home to 68 vervet monkeys ranging from babies to mature adults.
Their aim is to heel, protect and ultimately release back into the wild. Helping hands has successfully released over 1000 primates, several mongooses, and various antelope, providing a second chance for our beloved animals. The animals at the sanctuary have been rescued from situations in which they were severely abused, orphaned, malnutrition, and/or confiscated.
To maintain the animals Helping hands drives over 430km per week collecting various food sources from surrounding farmers. With helping hands, you are welcome to volunteer at the sanctuary to have a hands-on experience with the animals being rehabilitated.
You can add a helping hand by financially adopting a monkey to help with the sanctuary's upkeep.
