Work with the clients that put your invoice on autopay!
It was so stressful having to nag clients about past due invoices and wondering when they would pay me. It was frustrating, annoying, and I really started to dislike the work that I was doing. After a lot of trial and error (and clients that just weren't a good fit for me), I realized this was something that I needed to implement not only for my sanity but also to attract higher quality clients.
When your invoice is on autopay this is a great sign that their business is stable, which means you'll be paid consistently and on time and you can create the systems you need in order to thrive as a full-time VA.

If you're doing this, STOP!
One way I've found amazing clients is using platforms like Indeed and Monster, and 9 times out of 10 the positions listed on those sites will want your resume.
As a former Human Resource Manager who has screened hundreds of resumes, if you're sending the same resume to every position you apply for you're making a huge mistake.
Clients want to see that your history and experience are related to the position they're hiring for. You should be tweaking your resume to fit each and every position you apply for,
Doing this can absolutely be time-consuming, but your application needs to grab their attention from the start or it'll be tossed!

This was one of the best trips I've ever taken one, because my fiance surprised me with the trip.
But two, this was my first real taste of traveling while working!

From working with clients and holding discovery calls, being resourceful as a VA is the best skill to have, even if clients aren't aware of this themselves.

1๏ธโฃ Ask for feedback. Your clients will ๐น๐ผ๐๐ฒ the fact that you want feedback. This will give you the information you need to make adjustments to better perform your tasks.
2๏ธโฃ Do the research. Honey... Google needs to be your best friend! If there is something you don't know, Google it, YouTube it, get the basic information you need to get a task done. Ask your VA network, as your coach, and TRY.
3๏ธโฃ Be a 'figure-outer'. This is similar to doing the research, but you now have to take it upon yourself to figure things out. When I was unsure of why my posts weren't formatting correctly in my client's FB group, I created my own test group to create and publish posts and I figured it out!

The way that I start my mornings โ๏ธ really set the tone for the rest of my day and I DEFINITELY have noticed the change. I haven't always been a morning person, but I received some advice that has stuck with me for years and changed the way I tackled my mornings:

For me, this is being excited about jumping in to my work and enjoying a really good cup of tea. I am a tea hoarder ๐คท๐พโโ๏ธ but having so many teas to choose from in the morning just make me super happy ๐

I have a habit of getting ahead of myself, which is why I have to take time to slow down and reflect on things ๐ค Last month was an extremely busy month for me, but I learned a lot of really good lessons.
One huge lesson I learned is that being a GOOD FIT matters in my business. I love that my clients and I have great relationships where we are free to give and receive feedback, make suggestions, and chat as if weโve been friends for years ๐ฅฐ
Now I know exactly what to look for in my clients, and I know when to turn down those that just may not be a good fit FOR ME ๐ฏ
