A group of hand-worked Roses ready to be applied to the commissioned cape we are presently working on. Depth is created and the folds emphasised by layering transparent organza over metallic fabric.

Hand-worked Roses in Layered Fabrics. The Gold fabric used in these roses creates a luxurious quality. Corinne has always enjoyed making these, using different fabrics to create different effects. These will provide even more ornamentation to the commissioned cape we are working on.

Our customer who is a lover of mushrooms and toadstools has requested that we include some very intriguing motifs of skeletons and a skull sporting a rose between it’s teeth and decorated with toadstools…Who else has a passion for these vital and fascinating inhabitants of the natural world? We can’t get enough of the unlimited variety of specimens that exist. This piece of embroidery includes semi-precious beads too

It took a long time to hand embroider this very content-looking Pallas Cat. Have you seen them before? All cats are full of character, but Pallas Cats in particular have the most incredible facial expressions, I find them very enigmatic…Embroidered by Akira, this will be a very special addition to the handmade felt cape we are working on
