So what really happens at the Road To The Nile Corporate Galas, you wonder? Well, for starters, the teams are united by the love for Football, Adventure, Party and a good drink. We usually convene in Kyambogo for set off, issue safety regulations for drivers and passengers. Then set off. Friday, which is usually the first day is usually treated as a pure Road Trip. We stop over at all the meat points in the direction we are driving to. If there is a site to see, we visit it and take some pictures. Sometimes, if the site is so good, maybe even sit down and have the proverbial one for the road. It's about experience, and not about rushing, the road trip. So the itinerary for the first day can be changed as and when the vibes dictate. Different groups can choose different stop overs, and spend the time they please, as long as they communicate and follow regulations, as well as make it on time for the games the next day. When we arrive at our city destination, we usually have a private mini party (mini because, well, Covid19) at the hotel of residence and enjoy good food, conversation, drinks and a few quiz games.

The next day is game day. Of course there are different types of games and activities like Netball, Touch Rugby, Mini-Golf, Yoga, Zumba, Big Board Games, among others. But the attention is usually on Football. That's where the prizes are. So Saturday is dedicated to a long day of sporting activities, that later culminate into a party as well. Yes, you can't travel all the way outside Kampala and not 'wild out' (while observing SOP's.) The winners usually are awarded with money and 'drinks'. But really, the evening of Saturday is about mingling, networking over a good drink after having interacted on pitch.

Sundays are usually strict, so they start as early as six for the tour activities to be completed on time so that people can travel back to Kampala and prepare for work the next day.

What's even better is it is cheap. Registration is 500k per company, or team, and it gives your company limitless access to all our fan activities. The company however pays for the accomodation of it's people and takes care of the food.

The money comes with drinks, glucose and access to all our parties and activities. Tour is according to individual pockets, and is tailored according to company specifications.

Our next edition is in June.

Road To The Nile- Fort Portal Edition.
Let's also throw back to three weeks back, when we traveled to Fort Portal. Teams like St George Clinic, Kampala Select, among others put up a good fight at the Scientific edition.

But it was the socially distanced fun activities afterwards that were memorable to many.
