An Abundance of Everything
Hi, I'm Caitlin! Graphic designer, Pinterest lover and Blogger.
Follow along as I document an abundance of everything from home renovation and decor to DIY projects.
I have been influenced by The Home Edit.
SPICED up my spice drawer by creating an angled organizer to lift my spice jars using foam board.

We did it! The chimney is done. It may have taken us all summer but we are so happy with how it turned out!
Feeling a huge sense of accomplishment knowing we did this ourselves and saving us money.
Special thanks to Brent's parents for spending their summer helping us out!
Avoided the heat this weekend and installed flooring in our master closet. First sign of an actual floor in our home! Goodbye painted blue sub floor. π

Second picture shows how much I love having an actual floor (also the before picture sans flooring)

Busy weekend setting up the scaffolding. Should be easier the tackle the chimney now π¨
Switched from vertical siding to horizontal for the chimney. Loveeee the wood texture!
Garage shakes are done. Aren't they beautiful?!
And it only took us 3 days to install and 2 days to repaint because we didn't like the colour.
Seeing as this is the smallest peak of shakes we have on our house, it could be interesting when we tackle the two big peaks...
But we are saving money doing it ourselves and feeling proud of it!
Dear floor, I love you. Letβs never fight again.

If you missed my floor journey the other day, check out my instagram highlight to learn how I fixed this major tile grout issue.
So easy and soooo happy with the results.

Another wall DONE!
The warm weather was a nice change this past weekend. Finished the trim and flashing for our master bedroom as well as the siding on our master bathroom.
I call that a successful weekend!
Took advantage of the sun yesterday to tackle a big job! Teamwork needed to hang a couple big trim pieces π¨π«π»

Garage siding is done. Help us decide what to do with these black windows!?
We originally wanted black windows for the whole house, but when we got back the quote for black windows we decided against it. (Way more expensive...)
We decided to go with two black windows on the front of the house (to match our black garage door) and the rest of the house would have white windows.
The black windows stand on their own. It would be a rare angle like this where you would see them with a solo white window. -
What colour should we paint the trim?! Or should we leave it the way it is?
Garage siding added and framed out the black windows.
Now to decided if we should keep the frames white, paint them black to match the windows or gray to match the siding.
Hoping for nice weather this weekend so we can tackle more siding π€π»
Finished the siding and trim under our front deck this weekend! A little time consuming having to paint each cut end before intalling, but not bad for our first time siding.
Now to tackle the rest of the house!
LET'S ORGANIZE!
Now is the perfect time to organize your pantry with clear containers, mason jars and labels. What a FUN activity! (Yes, organizing your pantry is fun)
