ครั้งแรกในอริโซน่า การประกวด "นางสาวนพมาศ ยูเอสเอ" เป็นส่วนหนึ่งของการแสดง แสง สี เสียง ตำนาน นางนพมาศ ผู้สร้างประวัติศาสตร์ ประเพณีลอยกระทง โดย นักแสดงจาก กรมศิลปากร กระทรวงวัฒนธรรมแห่งประเทศไทย ร่วมกับคณะนักแสดงจิตอาสาในท้องถิ่น วัตถุประสงค์เพื่อเผยแพร่ ให้ชาวต่างชาติเข้าใจในอารยะธรรมไทยที่มีมากว่าเจ็ดร้อยแปดสิบสามปี เราคนไทยภูมิใจในเผ่าพันธุ์การสืบเชื้อสายไฑมาตั้งแต่สมัยสุโขทัย ตามศิลาจารึก ... จะปรากฏให้สายตาชาวอเมริกันชมกัน ... ภาษาอังกฤษ
