Two absolute musts if you want to survive in business in the next 2-3 years:

1. You have to get comfortable on video - People prefer to do business with those they know, like, and trust. This accomplished much easier through video than still images or text. If you want your business to thrive and not just survive, make videos, run them as ads.

2. You have to embrace AI - be a student of it. We are in an unprecedented time period where AI is so new that your ability to understand it and utilize it can give you a serious advantage in the marketplace.

A couple screenshots from some of my friends who are doing OVER 2 million in revenue using Dripjobs. (Can you believe that? šŸ˜®šŸ˜‰) this is one monthā€™s sales from last month!

Absolute powerhouses!

Set a goal to run 100 miles in August. The hottest month of the year in Florida - no treadmills and no walking - this requires on average 3/4 miles a day. As you see, 28 runs requires a run almost each day.

Tomorrow is my ā€œlastā€ day but really it wasnā€™t about chasing the goal it was about changing the lifestyle and sharpening my axe (mindset) to crush limiting beliefs.

Every single day I negotiate with myself about running. Even today. But each day the negotiations become stronger on the side of doing it because doing it is what I told myself I would do - and Iā€™ve learned that if I can get better at keeping the promises I make to myself then Iā€™ll be better at keeping the promises I make to others.

I want to shoutout my partner in motivation and brother Nick Weissman for joining me in the 100 mile challenge.

Health wise, Iā€™ve lost 15 pounds. Iā€™m happier, sharper and way more optimistic. For those that run, the runners high is real. Itā€™s awesome. Itā€™s definitely a high worth chasing everyday.

Only one person showed up to my sales workshop today...

And that one person got a TON of value.

Keep building

3 very important business lessons that I've learned...

1. An emotional customer is someone who's expectations weren't met. Either they were over-sold or under-delivered. There's no in between. Some would argue those two things are the same - however, in some cases you can under-sell and under-deliver. In any case, the reality is, full accountability for whatever the situation is happens to be the easiest way through the mess.

Emotional customers can't outlast persistence and willingness to do right. However, if you feel as though you've done right, and exhausted all resources (including a full refund) and the customer is still not happy, well then in that case they're just crazy. And that happens sometimes too.

2. The best managers are built from within - Everyone has leadership potential in them. Just because you own a business doesn't make you some anomaly.

I venture to admit that at some point you were given an opportunity and you took advantage of it - or you took a risk of some sort which helped you to build confidence in yourself. Leadership is a form of confidence. The best way to build better leaders in your company is to help them become more confident by allowing them to... take advantage of opportunities (that you give them) and to take risks. In other words, get out of the way.

3. Your word is gold - as a business owner there's immense power in your words. I've been in many situations where it would've been easy to promise things in order to move the needle, or get things done the way I needed them, knowing good and well the promise would've been hard to fulfill. So, I refrained. Because what's promised today needs to be fulfilled tomorrow - and if it's not, then my credibility is compromised.

Short term gains never outweigh long term trust - my team will tell you, if I say it, it's true. Honesty and integrity is always the way, even if it "costs" you, it will always help you gain in the long term

Have a powerful Monday!!

Winning in business is so hard that thereā€™s an entire industry full of coaches and consultants.

Take it as a clue. Donā€™t try doing things alone. Lean on others for help. Thereā€™s no glory in doing everything yourself and doing it alone. No one has ever been rewarded for that.

Recapping an amazing 2 day online event.

1300 people registered. On average we had 200 live viewers. A lot of people came in and out. We peaked at 300 live viewers during Andyā€™s session which was expected.

It goes to show that intent and action are the biggest separator when it comes to being successful in business.

1300 people intended to come.

200-300 people took action and came.

The great separator isnā€™t magic, isnā€™t luck, isnā€™t anything other than doing the thing you told yourself you would do - everyday, on a consistent basis.

I know that people who said they would come, had a little inspiration and it faded when it came time to show up. The information shared in this event was absolutely vital for business owners.

Oh yeah, the event was free!

For those that came - out of the 300, will you be part of the 10% of that group to actually take action and infect change in your life, business, health, and team?

Thatā€™s entirely up to you.

Blessed to serve this community of contractors and our team at Dripjobs will continue to push the envelope to create more impact and value for business owners. Itā€™s what we do.

Side note: record month for Dripjobs. Big features coming up. Team is growing. Impact is spreading. We love our customers.

Thanks everyone who contributed. Advertisers, vendors, speakers, and attendees. Means the world to us.

See you in January at Lift-Off 2025!

The first iteration of DripJobs sucked.

It took a lot for me not to just give up simply because of the UX and UI (For those that don't know software terminology, this just means the look and feel)

But, I knew where it was going, and I knew where it would be.

I never gave up on the vision. No matter what it looked like getting there.

And I believe that is a crucial component of any successful leader - is to keep reinforcing the vision and be relentless until that vision is realized.

The journey is always what matters.

The grit built to get there.

The staying power.

The story.

Because when times get tough, with more pressure and more people to please, and more money and more impact...

Comes deterrents that only someone who has been through the STUFF can weather - not only for themselves, but for their team.

Drawing from experience.

Rooted in substance.

Keep pushing, keep prodding, keep fighting.

Whatever that vision is - it may be ugly now, the process may have holes in it, the system may be clunky...

But as long as you can see it, you can achieve it.

That's all that matters.
