梅雨(Tsuyu)
Rainy season in Japan ☔️🐸

From June to early July, it rains a lot in Japan. We call this season 梅雨(Tsuyu) ☔️

We make a doll out of tissue paper and hope it wil be sunny the next day.

七草粥🌿 (Nanakusa Gayu)

七草粥(Nanakusa Gayu) is traditional food in Japan. We eat it at 7th January.
Why do we eat them at that day?

Today is one of the five season festivals.【人日の節句】
And,七草(Nanakusa) is 7 kinds of vegetables and plants. They have a lot of nutrition. Also they are lucky foods. So we eat 七草粥 to hope our happiness and health.

七草粥(Nanakusa Gayu) is easy to cook.

七五三(Shichi Go San)👘

A long time ago when a child's illness was epidemic , the ceremony has started.
They prayed children’s health and happiness also they appreciate growth of children to Got.
The tradition is still passed down👘
It’s call 【Shichi Go San】
Shichi is “7”
Go is “5”
San is “3”
It mean it has a ceremony at this age👘
The children wear Kimono and go to shrine this season ⛩
Children with Kimono are very cute🥰
I really hope happiness for children around the world ☺️🙏❤️

Japanese Traditional game~KARUTA✨
Do you know how to play this game?

Kids and even adult can enjoy this game😁
Also if you are learning Japanese, you improve listening and memorize Japanese word thorough this game😎
So, I am using it at my lesson ☺️ My students like this game 😉

There are two types of cards. One is picture and one Word. Another one is some sentences.

1. Decide Players and one person who read sentences cards.

2. The person read sentences and Player listen to carefully 🤔

3. There is one word in picture card. Player take card which Picture card with the same word as the first letter at the beginning of reading😁

The person with the most cards wins👑

金木犀🏵(Kinnokusei)
When I walk street and I am working I smell very fragrant from anywhere.
It is 金木犀🏵(Kinmokusei)
It is small flowers but it smells so nice and strong 🏵✨

Many people who live in Japan can smell this scent this season ☺️🏵
It scent makes us happy and sweet. And we think Autumn is coming 🍁 Maybe… some people remind someone or memories by 金木犀(Kinmokusei)…☺️

彼岸花(Higan bana)🏵
You can see this flower around fields and near rivers in this season☺️

The period from September 20th to September 23rd is called Ohigan「お彼岸」
According to Buddhism, Our world is called 此岸(Shigan) and the world of our ancestors is called 彼岸(Haigan).

It is said that our world and the world of our ancestors are closest to each other during this time. So, we visit our ancestors graves to appreciate for them.
