One of the cutest things about my niece coming to the farm is what she calls the animals. Rose is never just rose. She is always called Rosie girl by my nice. And it’s so funny now that every time we talk about rose she is now called Rosie girl.
For consideration
AKC registered English chocolate lab female. 2yrs old. Perfect breeding age.
Smaller frame.
Rizzo is a very sweet and active girl. She is use to life on the farm so she has been exposed to a large variety of animals.
She loves other dogs and loves to play.
She is crate trained and use to being kenneled for work days. She is also trained to a remote collar.
Rizzo like any lab also water.
She has all her shots and gets regular vet care and bravecto. She is in perfect health and weight.
I’m only considering parting with her as I no longer have interest in breeding and she would be a nice breeding female. She is dna tested and doesn’t possess any issues.
I do not have to part with her. Just offering her incase someone is interested in a breeding female or already house trained adult dog.
She has not had a litter yet and is not pregnant.
We have yet to do hip and elbow testing.
We are located in Blacksburg VA.
She is NOT free.
Little miss June is a picky girl. Her first week with Me she absolutely refused to use her litter box. I usually use feline pine and haven’t had any issues with it. Well June hated it. So I got the litter the woman who gave her to me used and put it over the pine litter which she hated. Wouldn’t use it cause it still had pine litter. So I removed all the pine litter and did all new litter and bam no more issues. When I put the new litter she dug all around the box to be sure there was no more pine litter. She is one spoiled little girl.
Had to say hi to the neighbors cows on my walk around. It’s so nice being next to other farms. Blacksburg is increasingly being taken over by apartments and student housing. I’m so thankful for our little stretch of farms.
Took a walk around the farm after the rain. Always nice to go hang out with the animals
Rainy Saturdays are for relaxing. Johnny and June take relaxing very seriously.
Little Cowboy waits so patiently for the farrier and does very good for his trims.
Here at the farm we are very thankful to have such wonderful people work with us. Our farrier Eric does a great job on our critters. He is kind and patient with them and easy to work with. We schedule our visits for the whole year which is so nice because it means I don’t have to keep track of when I need to schedule. We plan at the end of the year the next years dates and approaching the time if I need to change it for some reason it’s very easy to do.
Remember to treat your farriers well. Train your animals and be kind.
This is what you call a good donkey. Little Ricky is getting better about things as he gets older. Today he was a perfect angel for the farrier. He even stood on his own in the cross toes. Very proud of my boy.
Bug on the floor requires a meeting to determine who gets to get it. Paws, claws, teeth shoot! Claws beat paw. Teeth beats claws.
Little June spent her first day meeting her new friend Johnny cash. He isn’t sure about her yet but June is loving her new home with us
Well i finally have a name for this little girl. Please welcome May. My cousin suggested the name for her and I thought it was cute. She may let you pet her or she may run and hide. She may hiss at you or she may not 😅😂
The most handsome little boy
Fernie girl
Ricky appreciation.
I was in the living room at 11pm and heard a coyote outside. It sounded really close to us. When I went outside with the flashlight to check on the minis I was so happy to see the whole herd all gathered together with Ricky. The farmer around us has had issues with the coyotes getting his calves and lambs and I always worry about our littles.
Thankfully they are big enough to be ruled out as an easy meal but I think about fern and Moonpie who are still small babies. It makes me so happy to see them stay together and with Ricky who can help protect them.
Ricky is very much like his mother and is very protective. I’ve seen him chase our dogs and friends dogs out of the pastures before so I don’t doubt he would do the same to a coyote. Our mini donkeys will also help chase off unwanted visitors.
We are very thankful for our donkeys and we give them lots of love.
How beautiful is this?! The first stall is set up in the barn and I love it!!
I cannot wait until the remaining 4 are installed but we wanted to do one first to gauge the amount of lumber we would need and how we will have it set up.
We are truly amazed at the fantastic work from Northern Star Melia Wright and Daniel wright. They did the beautiful concrete floors in our barn and are also doing our stalls. We will of course post more pictures as the process continues and once it’s all finished.
I was just too excited and couldn’t help but share the progress so far.
I didn’t take pics but I wish I did! I gave the girls a bath this evening and oh man were they just covered in fleas. The water was red from all the flea bites on them. I was not prepared for how badly they were so I ordered some feline shampoo for fleas. These poor girls were born as feral kittens and the woman I got them from was working to tame the kittens so they could find good homes.
The girls are currently separated from our other animals and I’ve ordered flea shampoo. Some de wormer and ear cleaner. I also put some flea collars on them to help until my other products come in.
This is their first full day with me and the poor babies are still so nervous. I can’t wait to see how they transform once they get all taken care of.
Gary is one big ol boy! Growing like a w**d and looking good while he does it.
Also welcoming junes sister whom I haven’t got a name for quite yet
Welcome to the farm family June Carter
My boys 🥰💙
It makes me happy they get along well. The two of them were down at the run in together while the others were out grazing. They were both very happy to get some fly protection.
Ricky loves everyone. He got to meet my cousin who was visiting from out of state
Little Fern looks so moldy during her shed. For size comparison she is next to my small Labrador who is about 40lbs. Fern is such a tiny girl.
There are times I wish Peppa was a horse and not a pony because she is just so beautiful and so chill. There are few things that actually bother her.
Johnny cash was a star at his vet appointment today. Big boy weighs 10.6lbs and got two shots. He was so perfect and we were done so quickly because of how good he was. The vet said he looks beautiful and they have no concerns for him. Except maybe a few less treats which Johnny was not happy hearing. He shot me an angry face when she said that lol.
Goose looking like Grumpy cat.
Breakfast with Venture. He is such a slow eater. He likes to take his sweet time and chew each bite very well while he enjoys the scenery.
If this isn’t a good looking Jersey cow I don’t know what is. Our girl Moody is quite the looker with her deep red color and her black markings.
Bonnie girl left for her new home today
Ok everyone please send pregnant vibes to our cows! They get preg checked on Thursday so hoping the AI took and we get calves in 2024!
