URGENT APPEAL: ONETrack International is now collecting donations to support families and children affected by the in , - with a focus on the children of frontline volunteers and health workers.
After many of our supporters have inquired about how ONETrack could assist the children of , we are now working with locally-based organizations in Wuhan to ensure that any donations to ONETrack for Coronavirus will be used to help alleviate the children who have forever lost parents to the terrible that has taken the lives of over 3100 in Wuhan alone.
With our experience working to in West Africa who have been forever orphaned by the 2016 epidemic, we understand how critical it is to intervene at this stage; once Wuhan is no longer in our newsfeeds, the children of those who have sacrificed everything to try and stop the spread of the will need to face the world having lost one or both .

For International Women's Day ONETrack would like to recognize these women from who are part of the program that allows them to be caregivers of children we support. The program engages in economic initiatives that have been developed to increase and maintain household income so they can become financially independent and support their children’s needs. These economic empowerment programs also aim to capacitate caregivers with on and management as well as coming up with local savings and lending schemes in their own communities.
We are so thankful and appreciative of ALL the women within the ONETrack organization, within the communities we work in, and throughout the entire world who work endlessly to empower and support each other today and every day! Happy !

"It takes a global village..."
At the village-level, ONETrack International provides for orphaned children by removing them from their overcrowded and under-resourced orphanages and placing them in the households of biological family members.
ONETrack provides for all their education, health needs and caretaker support, and in a conflict context, provides for separated children by keeping the remaining family members together and removing them from collective institutions (such as refugee camps) to private homes.

ONETrack may have originated as a project in Cameroon via CameroonONE, with the Transition to Home orphan care initiative but they've since expanded and are doing great work in several countries around the world. Each country faces its own unique issues so no program will be identical and differs based on the specific needs of that region. One project in particular I'd like to highlight is their work in Honduras in which they've partnered up with local support groups in the region to strengthen communities in order to help prevent future unaccompanied minors joining migrant caravans by providing alternate pathways to a better life in their own villages. Given all the tragic news of children being separated from their parents and held in border facilities I find this the the most personal and having a direct effect on border cities like San Diego.

Hi Friends!! I may have mentioned to a few of you already but for those of you that don't know yet I'm going to be volunteering and fundraising for a nonprofit organization started by some extremely talented people I went to high school with. Its called ONETrack International and their mission is to find alternative solutions to the global orphan crisis by removing orphaned children from over crowded orphanages and placing them in homes with extended family members or other willing families in their local communities through their transition to home sponsorship program. A brief description of the organization and how I got involved is attached if you want to take a look at that and you can expect more correspondence and information about ONETrack from me in the upcoming weeks and months! ONETrack International
ONETrack International promotes proper orphan-care solutions by encouraging our Transition to Home approach to family reunification. We work to uphold, introduce and train globally-recognized international laws and standards that protect an orphaned child’s rights to be raised by biological relatives, or other suitable providers, within their communities of birth in situations where it is practical and appropriate. We also advocate and practice these principles at both the community and global levels by supporting and advising organizations that work with parentless and vulnerable children around the world.
Our vision is a world in which the Global Orphan Crisis is better managed and all orphaned children have the opportunity to grow as a member of a family, receive proper educations and healthcare, as well as one in which orphanages and international adoption are reserved as an important function for those cases without other options.
At the village-level, ONETrack will continue to provide for orphaned children by removing them from their overcrowded and under-resourced orphanages and placing them in the households of extended family members (and providing for all their education and health needs and caretaker support) and in a conflict context, we will be providing for separated children by keeping the remaining family members together and removing them from collective institutions (such as refugee camps) to private homes.
ONETrack International's US and Greek teams are in the process of launching projects in northern Greece to assist separated children from the Yazidi refugee community by facilitating the transition from their camps to individual homes. We currently support operations in Liberia to sponsor orphans affected by ebola and their host families, in Honduras strengthening communities so that unaccompanied minors will not be put in danger during a future "Migrant Caravan", and we have begun working to support parentless children in Zimbabwe and The Gambia.
