Hi friends
I’ve welcomed so many new followers recently thought I’d introduce myself again. I’m Rebecca, the mom behind Be Brave Mom .

I have two amazing kiddos ages 6 & 11, and I currently live in a world of Barbie and Pokémon.

Topping their Christmas lists are Pokemon Sun & Moon action figures and an Emme Barbie Doll from the Takes Two TV series - both were not easy to find 🥴 but worth it.

We’ve been homeschooling for 4 years now and finally feel like we have a good rhythm most days.

Last year, I made a commitment to write more. I started posting and creating here. Last year at this time, this page had about 100 followers and now it’s nearing 4k! Wow… just WOW!

I’m so glad you’re here.
It’s so special to know that something I wrote or created may touch or help someone… even if it means bringing a smile to your face.

♥️ I have a cat named Willow who does not snuggle but is always near by. 🐱

♥️I love all kinds of cheese but provelone is my favorite, preferably with a sea salt triscuit. 🧀

♥️The elephant is one of my favorite animals- I hosted an event years ago with an elephant refuge and our family even bathed elephants at the Cincinnati zoo on vacation! 🐘

♥️My mug collection is extensive and growing- it’s safe to say I have a problem. 😳 ☕️

♥️I love egg nog. I’m confidently in a minority with this creamy holiday favorite! 😍

♥️I’m definitely an stress-baker… but at least we always have fresh baked cookies on hand! 🍪 👩‍🍳

♥️My favorite color is pink but I mostly wear gray. 🩷🩶

♥️Steak- medium rare please. 🥩

♥️At home by the fireplace is where I want to be. 🏠

I think being brave isn’t fearlessly going forward but rather trying and continuing to try.

It’s cold… rainy… and a perfect slow morning to hug my mug under a blanket.

It’s been a busy few days of school, clubs and Halloween fun.

On Friday we carved 6 jack-o-lanterns (as my kids have fabulous imaginations and I’m improving at carving 😆) * photo in comments

We celebrated more with family yesterday, and finally today is a day to catch up before the spooky fun filled week takes off again…

I am super aware restful Sundays make for a a good week, but today I need to clean or it’ll drive me crazy all week!

I usually try to spread the chores out between Friday and Saturday, but here we are….

So after a bit more coffee I’ll be on my feet. Loads of laundry, dust and vacuuming, clean sheets and final grocery order…. with high hopes to crash this afternoon and round out the day with a yummy chicken and gravy dinner and bubble baths.

It sounds exhausting but it’s what I need to set us up for a good week.

In other thoughts… I do enjoy Halloween, but with the temperature dropping here, I found myself scrolling Christmas decorations lately …
It’ll be a few weeks yet but I cannot wait! So a bit of cyber scrolling /window shopping and I’ve got my fix.

Halloween is coming down screaming today
And I’m cleaning- like real cleaning (microwave, sink scrub, windows wiped, cat dishes are washed kind of clean 🥴)

Embracing doing a “good job” and looking forward to my take out dinner reward tonight!!

I may be a little excited about starting Christmas decorations outside today!

We have a bit of yard clean up and a lot of twinkle to add. ✨
