It's not how much we give but how much love we put into giving.
Between the 1st of January and 1st of August 2021, 31,425 suspected cases of cholera, 311 confirmed cases and 816 deaths have been reported from 22 states and FCT. The affected states are Benue, Delta, Zamfara, Gombe, Bayelsa, Kogi, Sokoto, Bauchi, Kano, Kaduna, Plateau, Kebbi, Cross River, Niger, Nasarawa, Jigawa, Yobe, Kwara, Enugu, Adamawa, Katsina, Borno and FCT.
Cholera is a waterborne disease, and the risk of transmission is higher when there is poor sanitation and disruption of clean water supply. The wrong disposal of refuse and practices such as open defecation endanger the safety of water used for drinking and personal use. These lead to the spread of water-borne diseases such as cholera. Without proper water, sanitation, and hygiene (WaSH), Nigeria remains at risk of cholera cases and deaths.
The long-term solution for cholera control lies in access to safe drinking water, maintenance of proper sanitation and hygiene.
Let's keep our environments clean, only drink or use water that is boiled and stored safely, ensure food is cooked and stored in a clean and safe environment, avoid open defecation and wash their hands regularly with soap and running water.
Cholera is preventable and treatable; however, it can be deadly when people who are infected do not access care immediately.
visit a health facility immediately, if they have sudden onset of profuse watery diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting, and weakness.
World Humanitarian Day (WHD) is an international observance observed annually so as to highlight and bring into the notice of the entire globe the efforts being put up by all the humanitarians for the one who are in need. It is the day to appreciate their enormous and vital efforts for the society
Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.
Thank you message to our volunteers for always putting their support and time to every of our Project.

Cholera; a disease spread mostly by unsafe water and unsafe food that has been contaminated with human f***s containing the bacteria, is an infection of the small intestine caused by some strains of the bacterium _Vibrio cholerae_. It is estimated that cholera affects 3-5 million people worldwide, and causes 100,000-130,000 deaths a year as of 2010.
Nigeria is a very well drained country, with numerous rivers. Most of the rivers in the country take their source from the country’s’ water bodies, that flow either into a larger river or to empty into the ocean. Nigeria is also among the nations in the world with the highest number of people still practicing open defecation, estimated at over 46 million people.
The recent outbreak of cholera in the FCT is not a difficult puzzle to solve. The FCT is categorized under the prone flood range; meaning the Capital is prone to flooding only due to extreme rainfall and other flooding causes; poor drainage system. The combination of heavy downfall of rain the capital has recently experienced, with the percentage of people still practicing open defection in the north-central region, coupled with the water drainage system and the number of people whose major source of water is from a water body. Movement of the bacteria from a water surface into a human vacuum is more than likely.
As part of our responsibility to ensure a healthier Communities Usave Foundation creating an awearness Campaign on the raise of this deadly disease which is taking lives
Let's endavour to follow the guidelines and visit any health care center if feel any symptoms of sudden diarrhoea.
May the joy of Eld surround you and your family his season. Wishing you all a blissful and happy Eld al-Adha.
