We built this brand based around trust, comfort, and elegance and the results are everything we dreamed off ✨

I had the opportunity to put this brand suite together and I LOVE when I get to work on sub brands. It’s a fun challenge because I want to incorporate elements of the main brand while still making the new brand stand on its own “feet.”

I also love this event branding because it’s whimsical and gave me a chance to be a little silly with the design. My favorite element is the hand-drawn cotton candy icon.

“I love the process of designing: whether it’s packaging or branding, I always try a new, versatile approach to shake things up a bit. I spend my free time dabbling in different art mediums, with color pencils being my favorite to use. I also love spending my time outdoors, dancing, and traveling!”

Okay, so you just got a brilliant business idea.

Or maybe you’ve been in business for a while and you feel like something just isn’t right and you need to readdress your game plan.

Whether you’re establishing your brand, rebranding, or just want to freshen things up, here are a few things I’d recommend:

✨ Research your target market/ideal client

This is really going to help you figure out who you’re trying to reach and why! It’ll also help you when you’re trying to make content or create a plan of action in your marketing.

✨ Determine your business voice & personality

Is your business serious, elegant, and bold; or maybe fun, lively, and supportive? Knowing your business personality will help you know how to address your audience and help you align your brand style too.

✨ Choose the name of your business

Obviously this is if you’re establishing your brand or revamping entirely. If you’re struggling to think of a name, we recommend creating a word map!

✨ Design your logo and brand assets

Obviously this is wildly important, because this will be the face of your business. You can start off simple and free with a Canva logo, but just know, those Canva logos aren’t meant to last forever - you also will not be able to legally own your Canva logo. So if you have the means we highly recommend working with a designer who will help create an entire brand package for you so you’re set up for success.

✨ Create your brand style guide

If you work with a brand designer, this should be something you have. If not, you can create one that outlines your logos, brand colors, typography, and how to use them all together.

✨ Apply your branding across every area of your business

Also vital because again - your branding is the face of your business and how you’ll attract clients/customers.

Bonus: don’t get intimidated if you feel like everyone else is doing what you want to do. There’s always space for more.

Don’t mind me feeling sappy today 🫠

I started to think on my business journey this weekend and how much growth there has actually been.

It’s super easy to think “I don’t know what I’m doing” or “maybe I’m doing it wrong” most days, but the reality is - I’ve been doing this for a while. Even longer than 2019, I’ve been building designs professionally since 2016 and it’s okay to remind myself that I know what I’m doing, and if I don’t, I’ll figure it out.

If you’re a business owner (which I know a LOT of you are, it’s okay to remind yourself of this too.

Your journey isn’t going to look like mine, and no one else’s business journey will look like yours. That’s the beauty of entrepreneurship.

You’re right where you’re supposed to be, and honestly, you don’t know how much could change in 1, 4, 10 or 20 years.

Trust the process and trust that you’re right where you’re supposed to be 💜
