Trailmen serve. These young (and slightly older) men spent their Saturday morning working outside at the new Connect Center in Canton. We’re grateful for them, their families, and a church that believes in their mission. FBC Madison, MS Trail Life USA
The Trailmen spent a full weekend at Central Hills Baptist Retreat learning skills, having fun, and worshipping the Lord. Among their activities was a U.S. flag retirement ceremony to properly honor our nation’s flag and learn more about its significance, contributing to our discussion of the sacrifice of Christ and the freedom we find in Him and our citizenship in His Kingdom above every nation.
Thanks to Central Hills and the event organizers for a great weekend, and thanks to our troop leaders and parents!
We are so proud of all our Trailmen for their hard work, great attitudes, servants’ hearts, and fortitude this year. Our Court of Honor this week was a special time of recognition and fellowship. We are also very grateful for our leaders, parents, and our sponsor church, FBC Madison, MS!
Troop MS-1512 is grateful for all the fathers (and mothers!) who make what we do possible. As we head to the wilderness this weekend for our first campout in many months, we salute the dads who help (and teach how to) pitch tents, build fires, cook meals, etc. Your presence in the lives of these boys and young men matters more than any of us can know.
"A good father is one of the most unsung, unpraised, unnoticed, and yet one of the most valuable assets in our society." -

Some of our Trailmen and parent-leaders spent several days hiking the Appalachian Trail in northern Georgia and exploring Foster Falls near Chattanooga, TN (even taking time for a worship service on a convenient rock Sunday morning). A great time was had exploring God’s creation, building skills, and having fun together! These are just a few images from a spectacular weekend!
“Is he – quite safe?”
“Safe?” said Mr. Beaver…“Who said anything about safe? ‘Course he isn’t safe. But he’s good. He’s the King, I tell you.”

COURT OF HONOR POSTPONED.
Unfortunately, due to the weather, and after consultation with church leadership, we need to postpone the Court of Honor. We apologize for the inconvenience, but the safety of all our members is of paramount importance. There are reports of severe weather in various places already, and it is supposed to continue through the evening. Other activities on the church campus have also been cancelled, and some schools and businesses in the area are making similar arrangements, as we understand it.
We are working now to reschedule, so please stay tuned. Also, anyone who can contact members who may not immediately see this post or the email just sent, we would appreciate that. Thank you, and more will be communicated soon regarding the reschedule date.
Thank you for your understanding, and we hope everyone stays safe.
Proud of our Trailmen for spreading the Walk Worthy message during this morning’s Madison the City Christmas Parade! Trail Life USA FBC Madison, MS

Our troop's next regular meeting is November 4, 6:30 PM, at the FBC Madison, MS Student Center, where our boys will be engaged in active learning and fellowship. Join us.
Boys are at a severe disadvantage in a sit down, be still, everybody-gets-a-trophy artificial environment. Boys need opportunity to push their limits, rise to the occasion, and prove they are capable, strong, and brave.

These boys do more than camp! They spent a big chunk of their day (with some help from their dads and leaders) building benches, painting, tiling, and repairing cabinets at Our Daily Bread Ministries in Canton, which provides meals to those in need in the local area. We are grateful to the Lord for the opportunities these young men have to serve. A few before and after pics - and action shots - are included. FBC Madison, MS Trail Life USA
