Terrapin Events hosts the Dog Days of Summer on Wednesday evenings in August (Aug 3, 17, 24, 31). This is a family and dog friendly walkabout in the Mt Tabor area where you can volunteer to help with set-up and BBQing

Due to heightened concerns around Covid infection rates masks will be required to play in OKC games for the time being unless you have been cleared by your captain to be given the option not to.

While we encourage that everyone wear masks at all times If you’d like to have the option of not wearing a mask, simply provide proof of vaccination to your captain.

We value and respect the individual health, happiness, and choices of everyone in our community. For that reason it’s important to note that harassment of any kind is not tolerated and as such is subject to personal conduct penalties.

Captains will confirm with referees if they have players who are not wearing masks at the beginning of the game that they’ve verified vaccination status. If they haven’t or can’t then those players will be asked to wear a mask or leave the field of play.

If masks stop being worn during the game by anyone, the same verification process will take place by their captains. The request of that process can be made by the referee, opposing captains, or a board member but should always be initiated by the referee with the captain of the players being verified. Players other than captains can only confer with their own captains regarding this verification process. If the player in fact has provided proof to their captains then a masks isn’t required and they can continue play without a mask without recourse. If it can’t be verified, then the player will be asked to wear a mask or leave the field. If the player chooses to not put on a mask when their turn in the kicking order comes up, the team will take an out for that individual.

Please know that the board and your captains took careful consideration when determining our course of action. We all understand the sensitive nature of this request and the emotions behind the wide variety of personal beliefs we all have regarding the subject. It’s been a long year and a half and it’s been over two years since an OKC game has been played. I hope you all are looking forward to seeing each other as much as I am.

In 2007, while at the Incheon airport in South Korea, my wife and I were getting ready to board a plane to our new home, Portland. On the ground, clearly left behind by some previous traveler, was a small, metal bottle opener saying "Oregon Kickball Club" on the side. It's lived on my keychain ever since. Last night, while opening my 'finally home' beer, the little toothy part broke off, and it won't work anymore. I just wanted to let you know that even though I've never attended (or seen) one of your kickball games, you've had a fan from afar. We just had our first child, so I don't really have any free time to try to join up now - but I will. And when I do, I hope you still have some bottle openers around. Stay cool. - Dan

Last year’s Habitat for Humanity build was so popular that Oregon Kickball Club will partner again to build homes on JULY 30 and AUGUST 6.

Hey everyone! Want to get your volunteer event for 2016 out of the way? We've got an easy opportunity for you to do so! We need 5 volunteers to help out at the Beer Garden at the Shamrock Run on Sunday March 13th. Hours are 8:30 to 11:00 AM and we'll get 25$ per volunteer to go towards the league. Who's in???
