I know half of y'all following me here are doing so just for the MX content but dude, check out these landscapes? I mean wtf. If you're still not impressed, just swipe right and there's some MX content too just in case.

But seriously. Sardinia. Never ceases to impress. Every time I'm on this island I'm so thoroughly impressed by the landscapes and nature this place offers. Stunning is all I can say.

If you're wondering why the S'archittu cape is glowing, it's due to the town lights behind me illuminating it enough for it to get light during a long exposure shot.

It looks like a painting. I was running around with my camera like a giggling kid shooting stars and wondering about life beyond until I realised it's getting late and I need to hit the sack because tomorrow it's another working day at the paddock.

Anyways. That's all for now. Cheers

Sharing this for the film enthusiasts & photographers out here. 🇺🇸 Story below ⤵️

Interestingly enough this was shot in 2022 on a sunny morning near my hotel at RedBud, on the first morning of the MX des Nations. Was jetlagged and woke up early to go out for a walk during the sunrise. The hotel was one of those highway hotels where you don't feel like there's probably much out there, but it was my first time in the US and all I wanted to do was explore.

So I took one of those funny feelings big takeaway coffee cups from the lobby they have in US and set out for a breezy morning walk in Michigan. Now there was just this one tiny road leading up somewhere from the hotel. Sun started to rise and everything looked like straight out of the movies I've always seen.

I come up to the scene of this first shot and look at my Leica. Problem. My film roll is full and the second roll I have is back at the hotel. 🫠 So I took my trusty phone from my pocket and ended up taking both of these shots on a phone. The tools we have these days are insane.

Ended up my walk at this secluded beach next to Lake Michigan and had a good few moments there before heading back and towards the madness that was Redbud.

I guess emulating film is very possible and today I put out a new YouTube video discussing the soul of film, and why we chase that look.

Thanks for listening:) hope you were inspired. This was mostly just me reminding myself and others out there, about the best camera you have, is the one you have with you. Can't use an expensive full frame camera if it's left back home :)

Lierop. Shot on Nikkor Z 50mm f1.2 S. Chef's kiss. That forest is damn nice for some sun / shadows play. Was just hunting for cool light and think I found it too.

Never shot wide open at 1.2 before and felt like it'd be snappy enough for sports but this? 🥹

Postcards from the MX of Nations 2023 in Ernee. Shot on film. Leica CE, Summilux 40mm f2, Kodak Portra 800 & Ektar 100.

Just got these developed few days ago. Completely forgotten I had even shot these. Gnarly stuff down at the Ernee camping. Felt like a war zone at times. Well worth the few shots though. The French MX-fans always prove themselves as the craziest of them all. Redbud was a peaceful scout trip at times compared to this.

Hope y'all enjoy. The first shot is quite special.
