⚠️ WEATHER WARNING: Storm Barra – approx. 9am-7pm tomorrow ⚠️

As if Storm Arwen wasn’t already enough, its friend Storm Barra is on its way and is expected to hit the region in the early hours of tomorrow morning. As a result, the Met Office has issued a yellow windy weather warning across the entirety of the North East, and a yellow snowfall warning for some parts of Northumberland and Durham.

Whilst the region is expected to experience storm-like winds, they are not expected to be as strong as Storm Arwen. However, you should still take precautions whilst out and about to avoid putting yourself in danger:

☔ Drive carefully and stick to well-populated roads
☔ Be careful of any debris or damage to buildings and trees
☔ Secure doors and be careful when outside in the wind

By taking these precautions and staying indoors as much as possible, you’re reducing your risk of injury meaning that we can direct our resources to emergency calls and keeping the North East safe 💨
