We are so honored to have Julie joining us for our Grief and Loss Workshop on Oct 15! Julie, as a health care professional, has had the honour to support clients and families who are facing a life-limiting diagnosis. Over this time, she has met many who are not prepared for such news and are left scrambling. The conversation around death and dying is a difficult one, and, for the most part is taboo in our society. Julie feels strongly that is part of anyone’s journey could and should be done better. In 2019, she was introduced to the End of Life Doula role and created Transition Well, her platform to facilitate end of life planning. Through experience and a compassionate heart, Julie found her calling and her mission – To open an honest conversation about death and dying that results in creating a better end of life for those transitioning and those left behind.

Meet the team! Brett is a certified celebrant since 2016. Celebrants are people who conduct formal ceremonies in the community. They often lead in replacement of a religious figurehead for those with no religious affiliation or work alongside them depending on a family or individuals wishes. In Canada most celebrants are utilized for end-of life celebrations, memorials, and funerals. We work with families to tell the story of their loved ones and provide support and guidance through ceremony and service.
