I'm excited and pleased to report that my western short story MASSACRE AT THE CANADIAN which is published on ROPE AND WIRE. COM was the number one most-read story in May. It had 385 views and the next highest had 259. Thanks to everyone who took the time and effort to read the story and give it a rating.
Several people have asked if there are going to be more adventures of Jack Henry. The answer is yes. I'm nearly finished with another story called JAYHAWKER JACK'S JOURNAL and will let everyone know when it is available.

Traditional Western Short Stories Written by Published Authors 02/05/2021

ROPE AND WIRE, a website devoted to western short stories has published two of my stories. I hope you will go out and read my work. There is a rating at the bottom of each story, so a thumbs up would be greatly appreciated. I think there is a contest component involved so I'm trying to generate some traffic.

My first short story in the Sidetrails Section of Rope and Wire is called Rusty the Cattle Dog That Weren't. It is about a young man's struggles with an iron-willed father and an aging dog.

The second short story is in the Western Short Story Section of Rope and Wire is called Massacre at the Canadian. It takes place after the Civil War and is about an ex buffalo hunter, Jack Henry who is tracking an Indian raiding party that killed his dog and stole his mail-order wife.
