Think it's hard to shop for a teenager? It doesn't have to be. We are in great need of teen gifts for our Santa Cops program this year, and we've seen some good ideas from other donors. Selfie lights and selfie sticks, bluetooth speakers and squishmallows seem to be popular this year. We still need gifts for younger children, too, and appreciate anything you can give. To make things easier - we are holding a Santa Cops Drive-Thru toy drive TONIGHT. Head up to our front parking lot at 1007 Ira E. Woods Avenue between 4pm and 8pm, and drop off a new, unwrapped gift. Each car will be eligible for a prize, with winners announced tomorrow on social media. The Grinch and our friends at CBS DFW will be here, too. See you soon! Oh, and if you can't make it out, but want to help - you can make a monetary donation online. Just go to https://bit.ly/GPDSantaCops and click on "Santa" or "Santa Cops".

Let's pray for our schools!

This Sunday night at 7:00pm, we invite you to show up at the flag pole of one of the 17 GCISD schools to simply spend some time with other believers praying for the students and their families along with the school faculty and staff.

What to do:

• Choose a GCISD school that you are somehow connected to or that is near to your home. If you live outside of the area, feel free to visit a school in your area.

• Pray with an expectant heart to experience God’s presence and power as you intercede for one another and our students and educators.

• Either join with others to pray or find a spot to pray by yourself. Use this prayer guide.

It was so encouraging to gather with fellow pastors, church members, and people that love our city at our monthly prayer time last week. We would love to have you join us in March. We gather on the first Wednesday morning of each month to seek the good of our city through prayer! March 3rd at 121 Community Church.

And they're off! The gift cards are being delivered at this very moment to each school. Check out the letter that you sent along with each gift card. Pray for the faculty and staff at all 17 GCISD schools and for the owners and employees at the local restaurants who will be blessed by this effort. Thank you to all who participated!

We are currently in the middle of a huge For Our City effort to bless every faculty and staff member in all 17 GCISD schools with a $15 gift card to a local restaurant. That's 1750 gift cards which translates into at least $26,250 that will also be a blessing to our local businesses who are perhaps struggling to survive. Let's rally together again to seek the welfare of our city by blessing our schools and our local local restaurants!

Each of our churches are responsible for providing around 600 cards but we are sourcing them in different ways. Please contact your church's leadership for more information.

Thank you for responding to the call to prayer walk your neighborhood! Please take a little time to share your experience here on the For Our City page. What did God show you about your neighborhood that you may not have noticed before? How did God grow your love for your neighbors? Did you get a sense of how you might be able to tangibly love your neighbors in the future?
