I will be at the stadium tomorrow Thursday the 17th for the last day of equipment turn-ins. I will be at the stadium from 5:15-6.

Equipment returns will take place on Tuesday and Wednesday (11/8 and 9). I will be at the stadium, in the Varsity locker room, from 2:30 until 4:15 both days. Please make every effort to get to the stadium on one of those days.

9th graders and “traveling” 7th and 8th graders need to report to the stadium for 8:17 stretch tomorrow. The “traveling” 7th and 8th graders are listed in a post below.

Schedule updates:
I have been telling the players this information all week, but here are the schedule updates concerning this weekend:

-The Junior High game against Berwick has been moved to Tuesday October 4th @ 6pm AT BERWICK. This is a change of date/time/location.

-The 7th/8th Grade game scheduled for this Saturday will now start at 9:30am, still at home still against Wilkes-Barre Area.

IMPORTANT UPDATE: TODAY’S Junior High game at Dallas is now scheduled to start at 4:30. Please, if you are playing in this game, get your stuff at your house as quickly as possible and be at our stadium by 3:30.

Update: There will be practice tomorrow (Wednesday 9/7). Freshmen coming directly from the high school, Bus #73 parked next to the big cafeteria freezer along side the school by the gym, will drop you off at the stadium. Again, practice will start at 4pm.

Updates for this week:
- With the weather the past few days and looking at the forecast for tomorrow (Tuesday), we have decided to CANCEL JUNIOR HIGH PRACTICE FOR TUESDAY 9/6.
- Practice will resume on Wednesday 9/7 at our new start time of 4 o'clock.
- We will also have a practice on Saturday morning in Kingston from 9 - 11. This will allow us to make up for missing practice on Tuesday and allow us to review some information for the games we have the following Monday and Tuesday.
- Please use Tuesday as a day to learn where your regular bus will pick you up at the end of the school day. Also use it to locate the bag room in your respective school.

Attention!!!!

🏈The stand will be open tonight from 4:30-6 for gatorade drop offs.

🏈If you have not received your fundraising you can also pick that up during this time.

🏈First home game is this Friday!!! 7th grade parents are assigned to work the stand. Please arrive by 5:15pm. There will be a sign in sheet in the main stand. Please make sure you sign in and list your players name so they receive credit.

Schedule for this week:
Monday (8/29) Practice for all grades 4:30 - 6:30.
Tuesday (8/30) Scrimmage for 8th and 9th graders in North Pocono @ 4pm
Players will be asked to show up to the stadium at 1:40 dressed, with the bus scheduled to leave around 2pm.
Wednesday (8/31) Practice for all grades 4:30 - 6:30
Thursday (9/1) Practice for all grades 4:30 - 6:30
Some 7th graders will need to share their helmet with an older player for the scrimmage on Tuesday. We will talk about that at the beginning of practice Monday. I will mark down which helmet went to which player.

With school beginning next week, practices will be shifting to a 4pm start time and ending around 6pm. Freshmen, if they choose, will have a bus available from the High School to the stadium, I will find out that number this week, and the 7th and 8th graders will be asked to walk down to practice from the Middle School. Like always, we will be practicing Mondays through Thursdays when there are not games scheduled.

Reminder: Pictures are tomorrow. Please arrive at the stadium by 5:15pm. Wear game jersey and game pants, no pads. I have attached a picture of the order form in case someone forgot to grab one.

Practices resume on Monday at a new time 4:30. We are easing our way to our school schedule so we are stating practice 30 minutes earlier. It will end around 6:30/7.

In some exciting news, we will be hosting Wyoming Area for a 7 on 7 passing scrimmage on Wednesday July 20th at Spartan Stadium in Kingston. To help us prepare for that 7 on 7 and the upcoming season, here is what our practice schedule for July will look like:
Tuesday July 12th 5-7:30 in Plymouth
Wednesday July 13th 5-7:30 in Plymouth
Thursday July 14th 5-7:30 in Plymouth
Tuesday July 19th 5-7:30 in Plymouth
Wednesday July 20th 7 on 7 with Wyoming Area (Report for 5:10) Spartan Stadium Kingston
Thursday July 21st 5-7:30 in Plymouth

This week we will start up our Summer Workouts. This week (6/20), the workouts will be held on Tuesday 6/21 and Thursday 6/23 STARTING at 5pm (meaning be ready to start at 5, not show up at 5) in Plymouth, weather permitting.
Everyone will report to the weight room and then coaches will separate the players from there. All players should have at minimum sneakers with them and cleats if possible. If you do not have sneakers/cleats, you will not be participating on the field.
Workouts will last until around 7:30pm, again weather permitting. Please keep checking here and the Junior High Google Classroom (code: xntbovk , please have your student athlete join the classroom) for any updates regarding cancellations.

Banquet tickets are still available until Jan 30th!!!! Adults $30/ child $20 (12 and under). Purchase via Venmo and make sure you list ALL names of ticket holders in comments.
We also have a meeting this Wed at Keeleys if you prefer to give cash or check.

Please note…. All tickets are pre-purchase and you MUST be on the event list to attend. ( This includes players) No additions after Jan 30th and there will be no tickets at the door.

Equipment turn-in will be held tomorrow (Tuesday 11/16) at the stadium from 3:30-5. Anyone that still has equipment needs to turn in the equipment during this time period so the equipment can be sent out and refurbished as soon as possible. Please make every attempt to return the equipment tomorrow. Thank you.

Tough way for us to end the season the past few days. However, I cannot be more proud of all of the players in our program and the effort and commitment they showed to improving day in and day out. The future of the Wyoming Valley West Spartans Football program is very bright.

We will be holding equipment collection over the next two days (Tuesday and Wednesday) from 4:30-5:45. Please make sure all jerseys/pants/etc… are washed and cleaned before returning them.

Reminder: Monday’s Freshmen football game is at Crestwood. Kickoff is now scheduled for 4 o’clock. Freshmen will be dismissed from school at the end of 7th period with a bus taking them to the stadium to dress for the game. The traveling 8th graders will be dismissed around 1:45. All players should have everything they need for the game with them in school as the bus will be leaving the stadium at 2:30.

As tomorrow’s game is the last for the junior high program, we will be holding equipment turn-ins this week. Players need to return all equipment this Tuesday or Wednesday from 4:30-5:45 at the stadium. Jerseys, pants, etc… must be washed and cleaned before being returned.
