Music I wrote inspired by ‘The Andromeda Strain (1971)’.
The Andromeda Strain - Biohazzard Protocols (Music inspired by the film) Just a little tune I came up with .. inspired by the Robert wise directed, 1971 film 'The Andromeda Strain' movie. With artwork by dusty-abell: https://www.de...
How about that for a desktop eh?
You too can use this magnificent 5K pic that I made right here:

This represented a lot of fiddly work to get the textures looking this good, and to even ass some detail to make it more accurate. So, enjoy.
Time Machine spotted in Vancouver Down town .. maybe this explains the crazy timeline we’re currently experiencing? .. we’re in the skewed off alternate version where everything went wrong 🤣🤪. Wish ‘‘em luck at fixing things.
Enterprise - Orbit and Nebula Beauty pass
Sometimes I just can't help myself. I have all these marvellous tools for creating stuff, rendering, music making and more .. and I just occasionally have to satisfy my inner nerd.
So enjoy this 40 seconds of Starship Erotica 😜
Modelling and animation was done in DAZ3D. Rendered with Octane. Edit and assembly in DaVinci Resolve. Sound FX from the Star Trek: Generations OST CD, and music written and performed by me.
Oddly enough, the clouds are actually not done in post. They are 3D geometry in the scene, set with a volumetric material so they appear to have density .. but not too much. And the moving fog is actually a big cube of the same material that follows the enterprise .. and that movement causes the appearance of animated dust and fog. Pretty neat eh? 😉
Not anywhere near as good as what Tobias Richter or Neo Fx could do. But, I'm not a professional modeller, or animator. Just a nerd with a need! 😆
Professional ‘wrist-rolling’. With. Tudor S&G GMT, a Speake Marin Seafire, and Rolex Air King.
A promo I made for 'Momentum' Watches. Showing off their new Aquamatic IV - Blue.
Roldorf & Co is now an Agent of Fortis Watches. New video coming soon.
Merry Xmas folks. I FINALLY got around to doing the proper mix my music from 'Starship Farragut: Homecoming' (Music that is mostly not in the film .. but whatchya gonna do eh!). But i had this wacky idea ... What if Jerry Goldsmith conducted my music?
Well .. slight problem in that he's not alive anymore, but with the power of editing .. and the Jerry Goldsmith DVD from 1993 covering 'The River Wild', I could make it look like he did (and he even compliments me at the end :P). Yes I know .. it's VERY Cheeky and I'm indulging a bit of a fantasy.
I did once get to chat with Jerry's Son .. Joel .. for a good few hours back in 2007 for my Podcast. Discussing StarGate, a various films he'd done .. but he also told me a lot about his Dad. Joel always LOVED practical jokes .. and I got the impression that this video would've made him, and Jerry, smile. I sure hope so anyways.
I adore Jerry Goldsmith's music, and he's one of the biggest influences in my own music (him and John Barry). So, do forgive, and enjoy .. this little narcissistic endeavour of mine.
But can you imagine if this were real?!? .. Someday ..... someday!
Happy Christmas eveyone, especially Starship Farragut, and Jerry Goldsmith fans.
Oh by the way .. if you're a fan of Goldsmith you should TOTALLY go buy that DVD. I think it can be found at Film Score monthly. There's only the one produced on Jerry.
Enjoy
Bremont Supermarine on a Haveston Service strap. Dynamite combination. Both British .. both hard wearing.

Well we live in strange times. And though my music career kinda fell off a cliff for a while, it finally found itself reactivated lately with a feature movie and and whole bunch of short films that I made for local watch maker shop for their products. So my filming, editing and musical skills have been in full swing. And here is two pics of two watches I can’t get enough of. Bremont S500 and S2000. Check out my latest Bremont video here at: https://youtu.be/GGnLWWK2540
Another of my 'Romancing the watch' series .. this time with anOrdains' Model 1 - Pink and Posst Office Red.
Designed and Made in Scotland, UK. Powered by a Swiss ETA 2824 movement, with a striking enamal on copper dial.
Made in association with 'Roldorf and Co' independent horologists. Gastown, Vancouver BC.
Coming soon .. 'Romancing the - Bremont Arrow'.
Product video I shot of the Bremont S2000. This is the fantastic new 2000 meter, chronometer certified, divers watch from British watch maker Bremont.
New for 2019 the watch comes in this Yellow highlight version, and a red highlighted version, with a simplified dial that loses the day complication .. but adds a great deal of clarity to the face. A tough beast of a watch, designed for action and adventure. Worn by Royal Marines, and professional divers all over the world.
Though not a cheap watch (it is a luxury watch afterall), it is certainly more affordable than it's Rolex counterpart, and far tougher than either Rolex or Omega (also cheaper to service).
This watch will surely enter the room before you do. So stop by your local Bremont watrch dealer and ask to try on the S2000 Yellow or Red. It may shock you just how gorgeous it is and how comfortable it is to wear.
Muh baby! Did a bit more work lighting my Enterprise. I couldn’t figure out how to get those bottom saucer lights to properly spread and cheated by putting 3 invisible light planes facing up against the hull .. and it worked a treat 😁. Also included the bump map this time so you get the hull detail. Still not sure how to get the right ‘aztec’ effect .. but this looks good to me.
A bit of fun .. yeah I only wish I could work for Omega. (It's all CGI and not a real ad).
From my days working at Bristol Television and Film Services. Music wrote by me, Lyrics and singing by Stewart Kerwin, Mix by Tristan. This was made back in the ‘before’ time .. I hadn’t met the VSL Library yet for orchestra. Stewart really has an exceptional voice .. I miss working with him.

Well it's been a long time since I wrote anything new. Admittedly music lost it's charm for me a few years ago when things got very depressing (life eh! .. whatchya gonna do?)
But in the last year I've been watching YouTube vids of various tubers who give the critique and opinions on modern pop culture and one of the best I've seen to date is that of Dicktor Van Doomcock (is that just the bestest name ever!) who runs the OverlordDVD channel. Basically his a super villain, future ruler of earth, proctector of our modern myths AND .. a youtube critic. With a flare for comedy and an AMAZING voice artist .. his live streams feature impressions of William Shatner, Peter Falk, Humphrey Bogart, and many many more.
Anyways .. his channels theme is a homage to 70's synth themes .. silly and snappy. And I got to wonder what it would sound like if I wrote the EPIC version of this theme. And so I did. I've been chatting with Doomcock for a while now. We have a lot of similar interests in film music and so it was with great pleasure that I wrote this film and presented it to him around Halloween of last year. And he also gave me a recording of his evil laugh to mix in the track.
So, here's one of the weirdest tracks I ever wrote .. but also one of the most audacious and punchiest ever too:

It's Harvey Time A theme I wrote for Dicktor Van Doomcock .. the future ruler of earth, Super villain, Vagabond, Protector of our Modern Myths, and personal pain-in-the-ass to Alex (imma f**k-up Star trek) Kurtzman!
I seriously do live on the BEST street in Vancouver .. how can I prove that? .. Well every year Monstercat (a publishing company in railtown) puts on the 'Railtown block party' .. an epic event not seen anywhere else like this. With full stages of great music, the Railtown Cafe expands to offer even more than its usual great food and companies from all around come to show off their wares (Like Tom Lee .. showing off their very expensive synths). I'm proud of my street (Railway street) .. and this year I got to see more of this than usual, and I decided to take my camera out and film some of it .. the musicians, the peope, the reactions. This was such a great day and always a nice treat. So I hope you enjoy this little film showing off the magic that is Railtown .. truly the most artisitc part of Vancouver.
The band on stage that I filmed is Nic Discero (playing piano).
Dancing About Colour - A little short film I shot and editted last week. No particular reason for it .. just got inspired to go out with my camera and film whatever seemed to catch my eye. Ended up with quite a 'water' motif. And got real lucky with a crow that decided to pose in front of the camera whilst having a bath. A lot of people don't like overcast skies, or rain .. personally I've always found rain calming .. soothing. And overcast skies somehow just make me feel kinda safe .. like wrapped up in a blanket. Of course the rain is always best appreciated when you're also warm and snug.
Anyways .. 3 mins of beautiful Vancouver, with music also written and performed by me. I am afterall a music composer for hire .. so if you like what you hear, and see .. I'm available for work.
Filmed with my Black Magic Cinema Camera with a Sigma 18-35mm lens.
Test rendering of the Enterprise doing a flyby with OctaneRender. Took me an entire day to light this model .. it’s so incredibly intricate .. if you freeze frame you can see individual rooms in the windows. Such a pain in the arse to light, but so awesome to see rendered.
Two awesome starships .. the Orville .. and the Enterprise.
(Models made by Lewis2e, and Tralfaz .. lit and rendered by me using Octane and Iray)
On set at Indie Action during our second episode of Season 2. Here's a fine example of how we film with the green screen, myself having to wear extra green so my arms can be keyed out later as I operate and voice Toastie.
You can see the finished composite shot at the same time. The final piece of animation of the shuttle craft launching was something I put together .. sure Pixar won't be hiring me anytime soon .. but for a zero budget public access show .. it didn't look half bad :D
And also in the scene Richard Scorgie just being himself :P And Jimi Stewart as the hat behind the camera yelling action.
A snippet of an Episode of my TV Show "Indie Action", from Season 1. Toastie delivers his bill to Richard and in an or**sm of money ecstasy accidentally breaks himself :P
Filmed with my Good friend Richard Scorgie, with Jimi Stewart directing. I'm the one handling Toastie and delivering an improvised verbal metldown. One of my finest TV moments :P
Here's a little something i made a while ago .. my first ever attempt at animating and doing visual FX of a space ship going to warp. Pretty darned proud of this. Music is also mine.
The title credits to Indie Action season 2. Graphics and music by me 😁 (with Richards help on the faces)
Can you guess what inspired us 😏

I'll just leave this here. A little something I'm participating in 😁
