🪵 This weekend we made a slide 🪵
Nick had a sheet of wood in the garage and the girls are getting a little bored of the same games inside, so we decided to make a slide 🤩
Nick and I designed it, he did all the clever stuff like working out angles and all the maths bits, I . . . Helped with some cutting and sanding 🤣
We all got involved and it took around 4 hours from the initial idea to having it made and built in our front room!
Having a clever carpenter for a Daddy is brilliant.
A few people have said about selling these and Nick is such a perfectionist it would take him a lot longer to make one he was happy to sell 🤣 but you never know 🤗
I think I’m going to paint the sides white to match the rest of the room (our kitchen and IKEA kallax storage)
We absolutely love our new slide but thought we could make more use out of it, so we found some disco lights to make it into a rave slide 🤣 the cat loves it under there and the girls have been crawling through it like a tunnel too 🙌🏼 so much fun to be had!

🌿The great outdoors 🌿

While we have been on our social media break, we have continued to explore some of the beautiful areas around us. Before lockdown we would often visit fun play parks, farms and animal sanctuary’s. With lots of places being closed, and another lockdown in force we have started to find more scenic and quiet places to explore.
Both the girls are like me, we like to get outside, we don’t mind a bit of rain or mud, but we DO love to get home and dry and warm up with a hot chocolate and a bath. So once everyone is wet or muddy, we like to head home.
Mabel really hates the wind, I’m not sure why but honestly, she just cries and shouts “too windy mummy” so we have to time our outings well.
Margot doesn’t mind the wind or the cold, in fact; she will chose the biggest, muddiest puddle to stomp in. Since she has learnt to walk, she is fiercely independent. Which is challenging when you’re 12 months old, navigating uneven terrain in the woods with wellie boots. She is always soaked.
We met up with at and Margot decided she didn’t want to hold hands and promptly ran into a massive puddle, and fell on her bottom. Which is why she is confined to the carrier for as much of the walk as possible 🤣
is a beautiful place, I can’t believe we havent been here before. We didn’t find the main waterfall on our trip last week, but we did find a lot of mud. We will absolutely be visiting again, and I hope to spend longer days there in the summer.

What are your favourite places to take little ones?

🧖🏼‍♀️self care 🧖🏼‍♀️
With the world being a crazy place at the moment, it’s so important to take 5 minutes for ourselves. Having a shower (child free) and getting some decent sleep is what I’m using as self care right now.
Before we went camping kindly sent me these beautiful products to take with us.
The first is a gorgeous hand made eye mask filled with lavender! It was a lifesaver for sleeping in a tent!
The second was a shower cap, perfect for those quick showers in a cubical while away.
Iv used these products since I’v been home too. The lavender filled sleep mask lives next to my bed and I have worn it every night. It’s so relaxing, like a mini spa treatment while you sleep.
The shower cap now has it’s own hook in the bathroom. I’v worn it 4 times this week (is there ever enough time to do your hair when you have young children?)
Check out page for these lovely products and loads more!

👗 dresses 👗
Mabel and Margot absolutely love wearing dresses. They both love animals so the designs made them very happy. I love it when they match, so everyone wins.
We got a few compliments on how beautiful these dresses are when we were at the park too, bonus!
Another gorgeous from thank you 😊

🐰headbands and hair clips🐰
Margot and Mabel have been very lucky to receive these gorgeous, handmade headbands and haiclips from a small company called .
The headbands have beautiful flowers and bunny ears, making them really fun for the girls to wear.
The clips are so pretty, made from felt they are lovely and soft and a perfect addition to our ever changing hair styles.
Mabel loves to be independent and choosing her hair styles each day is one of her favourite parts of our routine.
The packages came so beautifully wrapped in tissue paper (which we will reuse) and the girls loved opening them. ❤️ Thank you ❤️

🍏Little Tummy🍏
We are so grateful to have been sent a variety of .co foods to try.
I do cook every night but sometimes we make a quick dinner like pizza with chips and I would prefer the girls ate something more nutritious. I usually have some homemade frozen dinners I defrost for the girls on this occasion but I haven’t batch cooked for a little while.
These .co pots have been fantastic for dinners, lunches and snacks for Margot. She has tried every flavour and really enjoys them all.
The Quinoa, blackberry and Yoghurt meals have been great for snacks.
The spinach, sweet potato and chickpeas pots have been great for me to mix with pasta for dinners.
Margot is really enjoying the different flavours and being able to give them to her hot or cold is a great.
These “cold pressed” meals are nutritionally balanced and so there is no guilt in feeding Margot these.

♻️Wild Deodorant♻️
We have been making positive changes to becoming more environmentally friendly in the Harris household this year.
I have tried a number of different deodorants and I found them either hard to use or not effective.
kindly me this deodorant and so far it ticks all the boxes for me.
The case is gorgeous. It’s easy to use, you clip the side together and add the refills into the bottom.
The base twists so you can easy push the deodorant to the top.
The refills come in different scents, I chose Bergamot rituals (which smells amazing) and they are delivered in natural plant based packaging.
I love that you keep the case and can order different scented refills.
I’ve used this for 2 weeks now and I’m really impressed with it, I’ll be ordering more refills so I can try all the scents.
If you’re looking to make small changes that have big environmental impacts, then this is an easy one to start with.

🌺Coordinating clothes🌺
I LOVE to coordinate Mabel and Margot’s outfits (with mine) and these are a new fave that we have kindly been from .
Mabel is wearing the dark green twill with butterfly pocket dress. The entire outfit is made of such quality organic cotton it’s thick and luxurious making it perfect for this time of year. I’ll probably pair it with warmer tights and a thick cardigan for winter so she gets lots of wear out of this beautiful outfit.
Margot is wearing the butterfly romper, perfect for crawling, sitting, standing and practicing her walking. The zip is an absolute dream for nappy changing. I’ll be popping socks and a jumper on so she can wear this throughout winter but it’s ideal for these cloudy but warm September days.
We love , their entire range of clothes are adorable and such beautiful designs. This small family business is without a doubt one of our favourite baby clothes shops.

Our .eu products are still going strong. We use these everyday.
The cups are so handy for the girls at meal times to stop spilled drinks.
The snack boxes are great for meals at home and also out and about. We often fill them up and pop them in our bag so we have lunch ready.
These eco friendly, plant based products are a must have in our home. The different coloured lids and straws means the girls can choose each day which one is theirs.

🧺 Laundry 🧺
We have been working with and received our products a few weeks ago.
We have used these to wash bedding, towels, blankets and Iv also used them on our clothes.
I washed some cushion covers with this combination and two weeks later they still smell beautiful!!
