We had a lot of fun today pretending to be space scientists, dig for rock samples, and make observations about our findings.🔭👩‍🔬🪨🚀

We spent the week learning about, researching, and creating projects on the 7 planets in our solar system other than earth 🪐🔭💫 The students then created a short informative video about the planet their groups researched!

🤣 Eclipse it!

We had fun learning all about the eclipse today! We celebrated the historic event with CapriSUN and MOON pies. Unfortunately we did not get a great view due to the cloud cover, but we did get a quick peak at it just before 1:00 PM. We learned that the next eclipse will be Aug 23, 2044, so we are excited to see where we are and how the eclipse turns out in 20 years!

We’ve had a fun week in 220 learning about space! Today we created constellation viewers and reviewed some graphing skills with “Truffula Seeds”!

We’ve had a fun filled week focusing on Dr Seuss and science experiments! We’ve made butter and root beer floats so far this week! Tomorrow we get to make Oobleck after reading Bartholomew and the Oobleck by Dr. Seuss this week!

I just realized I never shared this photo from wishing our friend, Sawyer, a happy birthday last week 🥳

How fun it was to present our living museum and dress up as the famous historical figures we researched and wrote about! I love this unit and seeing all the hard work the students put in! Our museum turned out great!

We practiced fractions of a set with m&ms and skittles, and we practiced our measurement skills by measuring papers the length of each other! We’ve also had lots of kind friends working hard, being positive, and overall being super awesome! 💕🐾
