A function was held at the college premises to honour Professor Kandula Rajasekhar Reddy, a recent awardee of doctoral degree.
Kandula Rajasekhar Reddy is the Head of Mechanical Department at Indira Institute of Technology and Sciences, Markapuram. The Professor was awarded the doctoral degree by JJT University.
The College Chairman Mr. Venna Hanuma Reddy spoke on the occasion. The College management honoured the Professor on this momentous occasion

Celebrations for National Science Day were held at the campus of Indira Institute of Technology and Sciences, Markapur.
The Indira Institute of Technology and Science celebrated National Science Day in a grand manner, with Sri Venna Hanuma Reddy, the college's chairman, being the program's special speaker. Floral tributes were offered to the portrait of Sir C. V. Raman's as a mark of respect. The Chairman Sri Venna Hanuma Reddy in his address to the students reminded them that SIR C.V. RAMAN, a prominent scientist from India and a Nobel winner, discovered the RAMAN EFFECT on this very day and therefore this day is being celebrated as the "national science day". The Chairman further asked the students to take note of the commitment and dedication of Sir C.V. Raman and be motivated to bring exceptional commitment to one's individual performance in own fields of interest.
IITS was established in the year 2009 at the aim of providing quality higher technical education and instill education through our dedicated staff, making our students technologically superior.
