We chose to use living mulch on our h**p field instead of plastic. We went with white clover because it attracts nitrogen fixing bacteria to its roots. A mutually beneficial relationship. The green cover reflects light, reducing the surface temperature of the soil and increasing the soil's water holding capacity. Once this is tilled in after harvest, it will contribute to the overall organic matter, nutrients, and microfauna of the soil. 🌱

The early flowers definitely live up to the name, but we've been delighted to find many colors complimenting the white. These ladies will continue to mature sinsemilla since we have successfully removed all of the males from the field. In a few more weeks, they should be ready to harvest.⁣⁣

From organic propagation soil to pulling weeds by hand, we have used organic practices on our 2 acres throughout the entire season. All our plants will be harvested by hand, hang dried, hand-trimmed, and slow cured. Attention to detail creates premium h**p flower for a full flavored smoking experience.

One of over 100 identified cannabinoids in the h**p plant, also known as the "mother cannabinoid". It plays a unique role as the precursor to both CBD and THC. ⁣

Some promising research has found CBG to have medicinal uses such as being an antibacterial agent, treating symptoms of glaucoma, inflammatory bowel disease, and Huntington's disease, as well as inhibiting the growth of colorectal cancer cells. ⁣

We finished our first round of planting and we couldn't have done it without our friends and family. Huge shout out to , Brian, Andy, Mom & Dad. It takes a village. @ Edwardsburg, Michigan

Been planting these babies in their permanent home in the field each night for the last week. We've run into bumps along the way but it's been a process of learning and adapting to the plants' needs. We're on their schedule.

Week 2

North side of the hoop got to growing over the weekend. Early heat is drying the trays faster than we can water. Storms ahead will cool us down.

On schedule to transplant into the field by the second week of June. Also saved about 500 seeds to try direct seeding in the field this season. Always experimenting and evolving 🌱

Photo dump of our progress because we've been working 'round the clock! Handmade soil blocker and lil puncher from plywood which saved us lots of $$$. 50 blocks in standard 1020 mesh bottom ~recycled plastic~ trays. We chose this method instead of celled trays to prevent the plants from becoming root bound. Once the roots sense open air, they'll pause until we get them in the field.
