Exciting news! We’re expecting new chicks to arrive the week of 5/13/24. It marks our fourth year of raising chickens in an urban setting, showing that anyone can embrace farming. 🐥🐓🧑🏾‍🌾

On Tuesday, the culmination of seven weeks of hard work unfolds during processing day.
Challenges presented by uncooperative weather, including frequent rain and more freezing nights than the past three years, add complexity. Despite these hurdles, I'm thankful for the chance to pursue farming as a hobby. Bringing sustenance to my family, friends, and community through sustainable chicken farming in the inner city fills me with immense joy. Gratitude to all who support us, and I eagerly anticipate resuming the journey in the coming spring.

The chickens are 4 weeks old in great health, survived a rain storm over the weekend, and are soaking up sun everyday.

Processing date has been scheduled for 6/15 all orders will be delivered/pickup on 6/15. Frozen whole chickens will be available on 6/20

Birds 1st day on grass, sometimes I wish I had hundreds of acres to raise thousands of chickens per year but there is something special about being able to concentrate on a small number of chickens to give people the best possible chicken we can grow.

First set of birds of the season from arrived this morning

New year, new feed. Cornish X chicks are expected to arrive early next week. As we prepare for their arrival we decided to switch feeds this year to ensure we are giving our customers the best possible chicken we can grow.

The people have spoken, this will be a huge project to include egg layers with meat birds with our limited amount of space but it is not impossible

Processing day is scheduled for next Saturday. All birds are $6.00per pound DM if interested in purchasing in the CT area
