As I get ready to return to medicine I have started to realise there is a lot of judgment about the decisions women make about when and how they return to paid work.
For anyone who has experienced this I want to reassure you mums that other peoples judgement and opinions about your journey is about them and not you.
Do not even for a mili second get affected by their words.
What ever decision you make it’s the right one for you and your baby.
And if you change your mind about the decision you’ve made that ok too because we are always evolving and growing. We do not need to stay stuck in a place that’s not working for us.
So for all the mums out there who are feeling a little judged.

Last weekend of my transformational coaching diploma. It’s been amazing and Aurora has been amazing hanging out with daddy 9 to 5 ….. this is the last weekend of 3 weekends

Month 3 postpartum I did one of those midnight Amazon orders - 24 bars of hazelnut milka - I ate all 24 within the month or maybe less. My favourite combo is green tea with my hazelnut milka 😂

Now that I’m a total pro at being sleep deprived and we have now started weaning I thought it’s time to try out my own granola bars to satisfy my sweet tooth.

Every Wednesday night I have a webinar for my 2nd life coaching training diploma.
The first I did pre baby, and I could pretty much do a webinar or training when ever I wanted to. Now I have to factor in the little lady ❤️
I love being able to train virtually it’s awesome if I couldn’t have I would have had to wait a lot longer before I was happy to leave her at home and be without her.
Also it’s so wonderful to be able to have her sleeping away in the sling while I learn new things that will help my clients.

I had a c section and I found it really difficult post operatively in terms of pain however, I wanted to be able to carry by baby (I waited 5 years to meet her)
Hence, the baby wearing came in to the equation and allowed me to carry my baby.

Definitely the best way to start the day, if I could go everyday I would.
The first time was tough 🥲 Aurora and I needed a nap afterwards. Also had massive mum guilt for leaving her with daddy. 😞
Now I definitely feel stronger and have much more energy for her.

At the end of my pregnancy I was 80kg, when I started with Ultimate Fitness Cheshire] I was 78kg and today I am 74kg
It’s still the heaviest I’ve ever been however i am moving in the right direction. 🥳🥳🥳
Getting started was defo a mindset shift I had to make (practicing what I preach to my clients 🥰)
It was also so so hard to leave Aurora even for 45 min however we have both adapted absolutely fine and it’s practice for me when I return to work after maternity leave.
For my 40th birthday I’m going to be in the best physical shape of my life 💪
