Aurora police, Colorado agencies create gang violence task force 20/08/2024

“The Aurora Police Department announced Monday that it is joining forces with the Colorado State Patrol and Colorado Bureau of Investigation to create a special task force to address the city’s concerns about the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua.”

Today marks the second anniversary of the tragic loss of Deputy Andrew Peery. As we remember his life and service, our hearts are filled with both sorrow and gratitude. Deputy Peery was a true hero who dedicated his life to protecting our community, and his legacy continues to inspire us all.

Deputy Peery's bravery and dedication were evident in every aspect of his work. He faced danger head-on and never hesitated to put the safety of others before his own. He may have just been “one man” but he will always be a hero to us and this community.

Today, as we honor Deputy Peery, let us also reflect on the values he embodied and the lessons he taught us. His strength, honor, and dedication are etched in our hearts and minds, a constant reminder of the high standards we must uphold in our duty to serve and protect.

Let us take a moment today to remember Deputy Andrew Peery, honor his sacrifice, and reaffirm our dedication to the values he held dear. We miss you, Andrew, and we will never forget the impact “one man” can have.
