My first food review and one of my first exotic food encounters. This is the Cricket Ramen by ANTCICADA（アントシカダ） from Ramen Nagi PH

I saw this particular food circulating around Facebook posts since Ramen Nagi will be having their anniversary and they are in a series of promotions and advertisements. I am a very picky eater so I have never imagined myself eating it. I asked my brother several times to undertake the dare with me and alas it was successful. To take a better look, I reviewed this dish in a video from Joey, the AnimeMan, uploaded a year or two ago where they visited Antcicada store itself in Japan.

First impressions, the insect on top is likely to be the one that will catch your eye. It's a cricket of course. Following that, the ramen itself has a unique aroma. For the record, it smells really good, like a peppery-beef-chicken smell. I honestly don't know what cooked insects smell like though.

To formally start, I tasted the broth. It tastes exactly like how it smells. It compares to that of "bulalo" here in our country but it has this smoky, chicken-like aftertaste which makes it so good, the flavor is just really a different vocabulary for me.

The noodles included with this one are the thick and flat ones, it has these black pepper-like particles which are said to be insects. According to them, this ramen is made out of at least 150 cultured crickets from Japan, weird but it's delicious.

Down to the last bite, the taste is consistent, the broth is pure and flavorful, the meat is good and the cricket tastes great as well. This might be my first and last time tasting Cricket Ramen unless I get to visit their store in Japan or they do another limited promotion some other time.

I have been a fan of Ramen Nagi for a while, it's just that I'm a student so I don't get to regularly visit but their services and food quality is something that you should not miss. It is truly an authentic Japanese Ramen experience.

P.S. The Antcicada owners were there at the store during the time (Gateway 2 Cubao). They were really nice and accommodating and they gave us a business card and an exclusive sticker. Very appreciated!

So I did some off-stream replaying of Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin. I had some unfinished business and I decided to take care of things. This was the very first souls game I have played and I was just 12 at that time. I finished the game back then up to NG+3 then the DLC came, it made me feel that I wasn't cut out for this. Ten years later, I came back and finished everything both main story and DLC. Another milestone for me especially killing Fume Knight.

P.P.S. As of now I am still attempting to kill Sir Alonne and also try to finish the Frigid Outskirts (should have been removed from the game, useless frickin' map, I hope the dev in charge of that step on a lego)

In my opinion, it's quite hard to weigh which in the RE series is the best since RE8 is latest gen, I can't wait for RE9 and RE4 Remake.
