Preserving Dry Goods Using Your Vacuum Sealer!

I like a good bargain and I bet most of you do too!
In these days of inflation, shortages, etc... we all need to find ways to save money while stocking our deep pantry!

My husband and I like to buy the really big boxes of cereal at Sam's Club, but we could never finish it before it would get stale. Now I pour the cereal into mason/canning jars and using my vacuum sealer I vacuum seal the jars and the cereal stays fresh indefinitely!!

This picture is of a batch of cereal I vacuum sealed, we now have jars and jars of cereal that will last as long as we need it to last!

The same process can be used for crackers, rice, beans, flour, sugar, pasta, etc... it's a great way to make your dry good shelf stable.

The vacuum sealer I have is a Food Saver.
