In addition to his music & acting careers, in 2019, Trace took on the new role of reality show host. Ultimate Cowboy Showdown is a competition series that puts cowboys to the test in several skills. It has had two seasons on INSP and has delighted viewers who love an inside look at real cowboy life.

On October 1, 2011 Trace was awarded the Bob Hope Award For Excellence In Entertainment by the Congressional Medal Of Honor Society. The honor was given to him by Allen J. Lynch who was a Medal Of Honor recipient for the Vietnam War.

This week’s moment is from 2016. That year Trace Adkins was awarded the NDIA's Dwight D. Eisenhower Award for being an "exceptional leader and advocate" for service members.

When asked how it felt to receive the award, Trace said, “I was like, me? It's humbling. It's embarrassing. I get a lot of pats on the back for doing stuff with the military and veterans organizations, and it's always embarrassing because they're the ones that make the sacrifices and have dedicated their lives to service. All I do is just silly — sing songs. But it is an honor to be recognized for supporting the men and women of the military.”

This week’s moment is from 2010 when Trace released the album Cowboy’s Back In Town. The album included the singles “Brown Chicken Brown Cow,” “Ala-Freakin-Bama” and “This Ain’t No Love Song.” The album hit number 1 on the Billboard Country Albums chart on September 3rd.
