Suzanne Messer
Suzanne Messer, Medford School Board, Position 2,
Endorsed by the Medford Education Association We have children attending North Medford and Hedrick currently.
My husband and I have 4 children that have been attending the Medford 549C schools for over 18 years. Our oldest is working on her Engineering Masters at Oregon State University. Our second daughter is attending Bushnell University studying Biology. One of our children had some learning disabilities and required an IEP so the additional assistance they needed within the school environment was mad
The CTE skills trade options for our students are incredible opportunities!
The Medford School Board has an immediate vacancy due to the resignation of Board Member Karen Starchvick.

Our Medford School Board Results for the Special Election 2021 - thank you for entrusting us with your students for the next four years ❤️❤️!
Today is the day - Special Election Day 2021! Your votes are super important - if you have not already voted, fill it out and turn it in at the ballot box within your district. So many School Board Member positions have won or lost by as little as 4 votes!
Happy beautiful Saturday evening! Here is to spring evenings in Medford - warm with a slight breeze while listening to kids play outside all around the neighborhood. Simply happy!
Don’t forget to drop off your ballot by Tuesday evening 👍 for this spring special election. Every vote counts 🌟📮 and I appreciate every one!
One of my favorite organizations for students!! And congratulations to our youngest daughter Piper Messer!
Cynthia - couldn’t have said this any better myself about working with you on our School Board!
A big thank you to the Medford Education Association for Endorsing me again for the Medford School Board! We can't do what we do without our Teachers and Staff!
Ballots arrived in the mail today! Mine is now completed and ready to be dropped off. Make sure you vote and turn in your ballots 🥰
This is one of my favorite pictures from the 2019 Skills USA Nationals Competition in Louisville, KY. After four days of competitions we are heading into the arena for the awards ceremony. Everyone wears something that represents their state - in our case it was the rainbow umbrellas. While waiting to enter the students were playing Pokemon Go. They were trying to catch something that was taking all of them do it. I took a few pictures of them looking up trying to smile - that wasn't working. So then I just asked them all to look down and catch that monster. If you look closely - most of them are playing on their phones :-). Just love how this turned out with the fountain in the background and those beautiful clouds.
One of my favorite things about our high schools - Career and Technical Education opportunities!
It’s time for the next step for our students - as a parent of runners this has been a hardship! One daughter has a heart condition and this really effects her running speed, endurance and yes, she does pass out after every race. Watching staff trying to keep a mask on her while she’s gasping for air during recovery is a ridiculous - not their fault as they just want the kids to play.
If kids can wrestle without wearing a mask during their matches - we should be able to run without wearing a mask.

Canzano: State leadership fails to see the finish line with high school running mask rule Absurd state mandate causing safety issue
How awesome is this!!!
Special Election May 2021 Voters Pamphlet statement
It's been such an amazing four years serving on the Medford School Board - I signed up to do it again! I have learned so much more than I thought possible. Traveling with our teachers and classified staff to Skills USA competitions, robotics creations, meeting so many students, understanding state budgets, Measure 98 funds, student achievement, equity responsibilities, legislative laws, our new superintendent - Dr Bret Champion, reading and learning about all of our policies and procedures, amongst many many things.
We have made our students the center of our decisions and processes. Which is how it should be!
I would love your help with my campaign! If you would vote for me please share with 5-10 other friends so they too know I need their vote this spring.
Together we are a Team for our Students!!
If you would like a sign for your yard please DM me with your address.
As always - Thank You for your Support!
Love that we are able to provide this opportunity for our students to continue their learning journeys during the summer months this year. If you have children in the district sign them up for summer fun!
Great News! Each day brings us a bit closer to getting all of our students back into extracurricular activities :-)

: THANK YOU for your patience as we work to develop student schedules. We know having schedules for MSD Connects at Home and Medford Online Academy is critical for families to plan their own schedules.
You should be getting information from your school (if you haven’t already) about next week’s opportunities to learn more about the first week of school, including:
◦ The release of your student’s schedule
◦ Zoom Webinar with your school’s staff
◦ Connect on the phone with a school staff member
◦ Chromebook pickup details
There may be some variance between which opportunities schools provide. Keep an eye on your school’s website and your email for details!
