THE LONG WAIT IS NOW OVER! SURPRISSEEE 🎉

Through the years, Lifeline Rehabilitation Center has been a major catalyst in the advocacy of mental health wellness. A facility dedicated to provide effective psychological services to help our fellowmen with their mental health needs. Aside from these physical interactions, recently, we engaged in hosting online forums, webinars, and trainings in fulfillment of our commitment to massive educational campaign about mental health.

One of the key drivers of our advocacy is music. And recently, Lifeline pioneered in hosting digital performances of many independent music artists across the country which eventually lead the bigger demographic to understand and appreciate the necessity of mental health to our well-being.

But that is just the beginning. Our songs can be used as a vessel to create awareness about the health of our mind.

Today, we are inviting songwriters across the country to join the very first LIFELINE MENTAL HEALTH SONGWRITING CHALLENGE! Winners will receive prizes care of Lifeline and its affiliates and sponsors. Check out the details in the posters below! Like and follow this page for more updates!

Itong pandemic na ito is really an eye-opener for me. Talagang maitutulak ka sa sukdulan mo. Kaya nga may mga mahihirap na desisyon na kinailangang nating gawin kahit mabigat sa loob. At dahil sa sitwasyon natin ngayon, nasukat at nakita din natin ang mga depekto ng mundo, pati ng kung gaano ito hindi kapatas sa mga patatas na tulad natin.

Nung nasulat ko ang kantang 'to mahigit dalawang taon na ang lumipas, minsan, isang tao din ang pinag-alayan ko nito. At kahit nakakapagtaka, sa kanya ko pa rin naman iaalay 'to kahit na hindi na tulad ng dati ang lahat.

Siguro ngayon, mas naunawaan ko lang ang salitang "sukdulan" at dapat natin igalang 'yun para hindi na lumala ang mga sitwasyon. At magsimula na lamang lumakad palayo. Pero tulad ng sinabi ko, sa kanya ko pa rin iaalay 'to dahil ang pakiramdam noong mga sandaling nilalapat ko ang mga salita at melodiya ay naging imortal na sa kantang 'to.

At 'yan. 'Yan ang kagandahan ng mga kanta. Tuluyang kinukulong ang mga sandali at espasyo at isisiksik ang mga ito sa iilang minuto. Nagiging imortal ang mga emosyon at pakiramdam. Nagiging imortal ang lungkot, ligaya, takot, at kaba. Nagiging imortal ang pag-ibig na tinapos na. Nagiging imortal ang pusong piniling magmahal sa mga sandali 'yun.

Marapat ding ialay din ito sa bawat songwriter na masugid na pumapadayon kahit sobrang hirap ng mga sitwasyon natin ngayon. Salamat po sa mga kanta at kwento. Paano na lang ang mundo kung walang mga kanta?

At siyempre, inaalay ko din sa mga taong hindi sumuko na maniwala at magtiwala sa mga posibilidad na kaya ko kahit napakaraming limitasyon. Trying to make the music survive especially during these times is really a tough one. Kaya maraming salamat sa mga naniwala pa din at hindi nawala kahit medyo natagalan ang movement natin.
