Trying out my new toy to make use of some offcuts.
Still got all 7 fingers left.

A customer contacted me, looking for a barrel stave tealight holder. It was to match a room that was entirely black and white though. So I've come up with a few suggestions, including charring the outside of the stave, turning the stave upside down to reveal the original, internal charring or just very lightly sanding the stave, to retain the grey, weathered appearance.
I'm always happy to customise pieces to your requirements.

A barrel, cut in half, makes excellent planters or can also be used to make a miniature pond.

Another table off to a new home.
This one is for outdoor use, so it's been finished with 2 coats of clear varnish and a final coat of polyurethane to fend off whatever the Scottish weather can throw at it.

After the last table sold within an hour of going online, I thought I'd better make another. This is its twin, made from the other end of the barrel.

Barrel End tables are proving to be very popular. This one is a slightly different style to normal, using the end of the staves and a couple of hoops to enhance the barrel look.
