After a year of studying, researching, planning...

I had it all figured out. The most efficient way. It was genius.

'The Best Way' to start my business.

I went to work ...designing a plan that I could share with others.

The plan was printed out with glossy pictures and bound in a cover.

It looked so nice.

Everything was perfect!

And then, everything changed.

Sh*t!

All that work and time wasted.

[WTF] I had to start over.

Don't get stuck in paralysis of analysis.

The funny thing is that now, I realize my plan actually kind of sucked anyway.

You see, efficiency and the 'smart' way to do something might just be to confusing for others.

Be simple, clear, honest, kind....and just get started already.

Patience (for some things) is key - BUT, if you have been stuck in the planning stages for way too long [wanting to make it perfect], it may be WAY past time to just get fu***ng started already. Do the things! You have to START somewhere.

When you dedicate yourself to something and work hard at it with intention and purpose, you will get results.

The problem is not that we can't learn to do things....

It's often just figuring out what to do in the first place.

So here's what has helped me...

Play around with a lot of things, and try not to get stuck in paralysis of analysis.

Actually do the things!

Pick up a 'toy' project....

If it isn't right...drop it and pick up another.

My first customer from digital marketing was just days after creating a page.

In fact, I didn't know this customer. They didn't like my posts or follow my page. They were in a different Country! And they spent over $200 on products. I wasn't even marketing those products specifically.

How did I do it? I figured out a system. I acted as though I was a customer. I figured out what people would be searching for. Then, I used those 'keywords" in the TITLE of my page, in the ABOUT section, and in my POSTS.

How much did it cost me to create a page? $0
How much does it cost to create 10 pages? same.
Did I know it was going to work? No. But, I had a feeling that it would.

Then, I gave this little secret to a few of my friends and let them make money from it too.

Social media 'pages' are like little websites, but they can actually rank in Google search much faster than a 'brand new' custom website.

Google trusts Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, TikTok, YouTube - of course they trust YouTube, they own it.

So are you using a 'page' on Facebook to promote something? Why not?

Perfectly said! When you see a problem, find a solution for it by engaging with your community. Chances are that someone else will have a great idea. Be the guide to solutions - not the guru.

Independently partnering with an already successful business is the best business decision I have ever made as a solopreneur. I don't have to do everything on my own - I just have to live with it not being perfect.

Where did perfection get me? On the fast track to Nowhere!
