My friend and business associate Gina talking with Gary Summers about Essential Oils and mental health. The Mental Health Task Force is incredible initiative spearheaded by Gary who has been a longtime advocate for Mental health and wellness in NL. Essential oils are a fantastic resource to have to help us manage our own mental health and wellness. They have been an incredible support to me...especially over the last year.

Many animal lovers have often expressed concerns about using Essential Oils around their beloved companions. The important thing to remember when using essential oils is to chose pure oils from a reputable company that can show you data about their products. I use and recommend doTERRA and I have lots of resources I can hook you up with to learn more. But there are other safe brands as well. If you want to learn more about using Essential Oils safely around your pets and even using some of them to support your pet's wellness, check out the link from Dr. Janet Roark DVM below.. She has a downloadable document entitle Essential Oils & Safety for Pets.

Magnolia is the new Lavender!
Magnolia has been used for centuries Chinese traditional health practices, and is known for its emotional benefits along with a fresh and compellingly sweet aroma. I know I am personally OBSESSED with this oil, and as I start to dig into why, itβs no wonder that so many animals love it too!
Also called white champaca or white jade, magnolia flowers have been used in traditional health practices to help create a sense of balance within the body. Itβs official genus and species is "Michelia alba" (not to be confused with the Magnolia trees here in Texas!)
Similar to Lavender and Bergamot, Magnolia is primarily composed of Linalool, which can be very calming. If your animal loves this oil, it may be a great one to add into the rotation especially during stressful situations. This is a great alternative for animals (and people) that do not care for the aroma of Lavender.
Magnolia has many of the same properties we love about Lavender such as: respiratory system support, is deeply relaxing, encourages restful sleep, relieves anxiety, and soothes skin.
Magnolia Touch is perfectly diluted and safe to use with all species, although you may wish to dilute it a bit more for topical use with cats and smaller species.
How to use Magnolia Touch (Roller) with Animals:
π΄ For horses (and other large animals), apply along the spine, coronet bands, or directly to the area of concern.
πΆ For dogs, apply to your hands and pet along the spine or directly over the area of concern or between the paw pads of the back feet. No dilution necessary. Great to use during a bedtime massage or before a stressful event like thunderstorms or fireworks!
π± For cats, roll a small amount on to your fingers and apply to the ear tips or along the spine. Dilute to 50% if using more than a small amount. Alternatively, you can apply to your cat's favorite blanket or hiding place for aromatic use.
Who needs to try Magnolia Touch?
If I present it like this, would my husband be open to including a couple of sheep to our little funny farm? π€

Are you interested in an oil study? It's an online, closed and private where participants receive personal education & support while while using safe natural solution samples to support their bodies' recovery and overall health. If so, DM me and I can set you up with a week's worth of samples to try :)
Recent life events have led me to explore other opportunities. One of those is launching a new business as a Wellness Advocate with doTERRA. For many years I have been on a journey to transition into a cleaner, healthier, more natural way of life. I have been using essential oils to make natural soaps and cleaners. I have benefited from their aromatic properties to relieve stress , improve concentration or to boost my mood or alertness. I have found topical applications of doTERRA's Deep Blue blend which contains peppermint to be a blessing in helping relieve tense, tight muscles which has been an issue for me since my illness years ago.
Through my page, I will be sharing what I learn, how you can implement essential oils in your home, for your family and even your pets. How you can transition away from the toxins in common everyday household products. I will continue sharing my goofy animal antics because our furry and feathered friends just help make life better :) I will also share some of my art because that has been a huge part of my self care along this journey.
While the oils is my business and I hope you are open to trying them (because I can hook you up with free samples!), my hope is you will join my little community anyways. I would also like for you to share your experiences and things you have learned about essential oils or natural wellness. The world needs more community, more love, more compassion. Together, we can heal the world!!
Have a beautiful day!
Cathy :)
