This past week, SDMF donated more Baby Taylor Guitars, this time to Connect Academy in Poway. Teacher KarenElaine Rogers will lead the guitar class! That makes a total of 122 schools that have been part of our Guitars for Schools program!

Our most recent guitar donation was to Tierra del Sol Middle School. As always, all of our donations are made possible by our ongoing partnership with Taylor Guitars, and from monies raised at the 2023 San Diego Music Awards. Thanks to everyone who supports music in San Diego and in San Diego County schools!

SDMF recently donated 15 Baby Taylor Guitars to the Americas Foundation Fundacion de las Americas, which is now offering free guitar and instrumental music classes to middle school students every Wednesday at the South Bay Community Services building in Chula Vista. And the instructor is none other than a recent SD Music Awards Lifetime Awards winner...Wayne Riker. Way to go Wayne!

Today we were able to donate $2500 to the Young Lions Jazz Conservatory to help fund a new after school music program in South San Diego. We are honored to play a small part in helping to keep music education available in San Diego County schools!
