It has been another busy week for the Bryan Habana foundation and Sasria SOC Ltd team as we delivered food parcels to various institutions across Orange Farm, Montana, Alexandra, Krugersdorp and Tladi nominated by the SASRIA staff.
Fair to say that there was quite a bit of joyful song and dance which warmed hearts like you can’t imagine!!
Thank you SASRIA for partnering with the Bryanhabanafdn and making such a positive difference in the lives of so many.
Andrew Mills and his team from Boxer Superstores Pick n Pay have again been phenomenal with logistics.
It was great to get out to Rand Hills Academy and in conjunction with Consumer Profile Bureau and Pick n Pay deliver some much needed food parcels to the staff and learners.
I missed my Ozow wingmen today but another day of giving back in Alexandra and Soweto.
600 families and countless smiles..
Thank you to Richards Foundation team for the collaboration. It was incredible to be a part of the 2 millionth orange delivery!!!

Yesterday shook me to the core.
It was this moment right here, on our way to deliver a food parcel to one of the most fragile and destitute people in Hangberg, Hout Bay, that we walked past a woman who was being carried by two men(who I choose to believe had come to her rescue) to an ambulance. Her faced covered in blood and split open in numerous places. Domestic violence. GENDER BASED VIOLENCE!!
My heart broke while my anger began to rage, my emotions swaying like a pendulum. I stood there helpless not knowing whether to drop what I was doing and try to lend a hand to a situation I had no control over or continue delivering the food parcel which will feed a family for the next 3 weeks.
That image has been replaying itself through my mind for the past 24hrs.
So much need, so much wrong, so much left to do.
And again it reminded me that we as men NEED to be better. That we as men are the problem. That we as men need to do more. That we as men just can’t sit back and accept what is happening. That we as men NEED to be the solution. Each and every one of us!!!
We won’t stop trying to make a difference!

Today, Bryan Habana and the Ozow team used the Century City Conference Centre to pack food parcels.
Food insecurity has exponentially increased during this pandemic and the foundation is trying to play its part in giving back to those who so desperately need it.
We’ll be heading out over the next few days to deliver these parcels to communities in need.
