Especially wjth the people you usually see is something that’s super important to me. Why?
✅Learn from each other. Information is beneficial!
✅ MOTIVATION. This is a huge one. Not only does it give you an extra push, but it also gives them the extra push! Cheering them on = cheering you on.
✅Comfort level. Sometimes people don’t feel comfortable going to a gym. Not just because of equipment but maybe they don’t know anyone.
✅Social aspect. Who knows what happens! Make new friends and being involved with others is what makes a community— in and out of the gym.

I ATE A GRILLED CHEESE YESTERDAY.
Let me tell you— it was white bread with American cheese from Jumbo's Frozen Custard . The first bite was SO crunchy and crispy.
If you know me, you know I love a good grilled cheese. I know what you’re thinking “But Jordyne, what about healthy eating??”
Everything is okay in moderation! You are able to enjoy things and still reach your goals. Food is fuel and therefore, my workout today was powered by grilled cheese 😉🥪

You can add literally HUNDREDS of calories to a dish just by adding butter. Instead, go for an avocado oil spray (which is a healthy fat) or nonstick cookware.

I want to post about one of my FAVORITE snack combinations. Coincidentally, it’s gluten free AND dairy free. I ditched regular crackers due to the ingredients!
So why is it good? HEALTHY FATS AND GOOD CARBS. It’s also got a little protein and tastes AMAZING. Snack happy and healthy!

Motivating yourself to be the healthiest version of you. There are SO MANY motivators out there - playing with children easier, fitting into that dress you wore 5 years ago, doing every day tasks easier, weddings, vacations, appearance, strength - the list goes on and on!
Motivation turns into discipline. Those days when you don’t feel like doing the thing but you do it anyways.
But first, you have to determine what motivates YOU. No one else can do that for you.

Added sugars are in SO MANY of the food products you find at the store and consume on a daily basis. Cane sugar, high fructose corn syrup, and corn syrup are all examples of sugar additives!
So anyways, I am on the HUNT for products with no added sugars.

Let’s talk about it.
This guy right here is important for cardiovascular health and other things! It can help improve cell function, neutralize free radicals in the blood (may lead to helping prevent Alzheimer’s), help prevent blood clot formation, has antioxidant qualities, blood pressure improvements, anti inflammatory, - a LOT of nice benefits!

✨FAT & WHY THE NATION HATES IT✨
We have so many low fat/ nonfat products out there due to a low fat diet trend in the 50s and 60s. It came about to decrease heart disease in Americans and backfired due to the higher consumption of carbohydrates. People also thought that fat makes you fat (and they still do).
Fat doesn’t create more body fat. Consuming the WRONG fats in HIGH AMOUNTS creates body fat. Calories per gram of fat is higher than protein and carbs at 9 calories per gram of fat.
Where can we find these “wrong fats”? Processed food, sweets, dairy products, fried foods.
Where can we find healthy fats?

5 Things You Can Do TODAY To Change Your Life✨
1. Drink more WATER. Hydration is a key factor to clear skin, weight loss, body functions. (No, iced coffee doesn’t count 🤪)
2. Use fruit for dessert cravings. Not only is this a better sugar choice, fruit is SO GOOD. It is almost WATERMELON season! Low carb, high WATER snack. Lowering your dessert calories will help you lose that weigh too 🫣
3. Go for a walk! Can’t get to the gym? Go for a half hour walk, keep yourself moving. It’s warmer outside so you don’t have excuses anymore 😉
4. PROTEIN. Consume more protein during your day. Protein contains ESSENTIAL AMINO ACIDS that your body needs DAILY to run off of.💪🏻
5. Get a gym membership. The Feith Family YMCA will be 24/7 as of May 15. Low cost, family oriented and 24/7??? Now y’all got NO EXCUSES. See you there 😉
