Canadians Toby NG and Adrian Liu, expressing their joy after reaching the final of the ongoing Canada Open. The Canadian pair toppled brothers Joshua and Sam Magee or Ireland 21-19, 21-11 in the semi-final. Along with Michelle Li in women's singles, Ng and Liu will be Canada's hopes for a gold medal in Sunday's finals.

It's been quite sometime. Originally I had deactivated my face book account because of the whole 2015 Pan Am Games issue. I didn't want to read anymore news about it or hear anything about it. It was tough to deal with. For the first time I really lost faith and hope as if all the time and hard work would be wasted. But ever since the crowd funding campaign had launched and people began donating to us it really boosted or moral.

For me it wasn't so much the financial support that was inspiring but more so knowing that people genuinely supported my passion and my dreams... something that i really love doing. No other word would describe this better than uplifting. It's nice to have reassurance from fans friends and family when you win, but it's much more needed when you are in a tough spot. Everyone of you have shown me what the true meaning of support is.

From the bottom of my heart I truly, Deeply thank each and everyone of you! Let's do this together !

Leaving for Sudirman Cup tomorrow. Let's go team Canada !!!! Play hard and fight every step of the way!! Wish us luck!!

Hey everybody hope everyone is doing well. Over the past week we were competing for the Canadian National title and i'm glad to share that we have managed to defend our title for the 3rd time making it our 4 peat. But none of this could of been done in a better city with the home town crowd supporting us the whole way:) I just want to extend my thanks to all the people who watched, and my friends and family who are spread out every where Our personal trainer pham , /jsgc

The ankle sprain

End to the pan am championships for us this year. Another great team performance by team Canada in the team event as we took the title again!! Unfortunately i was sidelined for the team event as i had a really baffled ankle sprain on Sunday before match play. I was going for a jog checking out some baseball and seemed to have missed a HUGE pot hole. So it has been a rough week trying to keep it mobile in preparation for individual event. Luckily i didn't have to play until Saturday as i retired from my mixed match in order to get more time to rest. Sorry Joyce ko. but in the end things worked out and derrick and i retained our title. Special thanks to out supporters that were here and every where around the world. friends family coaches and . Big thanks to joko and huan pham.

good morning everybody! hope everyone is doing well. just a quick update here on wednesday we had our first physical training session at with my friend Hua n Pham. All i have to say about that is that it was a great amazing experience and i'm definately feeling the soreness hah but definately worth it. We will have our second session today with him and can't wait! hello everybody i hope everyone has been well. Have not updated for quite some time but have been really busy figuring out many things. Tournaments have been a little slow so i've had a bit of time to catch up on a few things here and there that have been neglected. Going to start working with a trainer this week i'm pretty excited about this as we've talked a bit and discussed things to improve on physically to help prepare my partner and i more for the world stage. First session will commence this wednesday so i'll keep you guys and girls posted on that as this is the first time i've ever had a trainer. Take care and i'll do my best to update more than every half year ;) ahah

Great job to all the national team members in the final! To all the new champions and returning champions congrats also on the 3peat. I would like to thank all my friends and family for their support and also couldn't of done it without my partner derrick ng and coach Ronne!! It was great to play my best friend nathan choi in the final way to go man keep on going!. Thanks again everybody very blessed to have all of you!

Finally after 4 pan am championships we have broken our semi final curse and won our first pan am individual title. Thanks for all the support from everyone it's been great :) gotta keep training hard :)

just wanted to report in that we won the team even Go Canada :) good job team. preparing now for individual wish us luck :)

Hello friends! long time Hope everyone is doing well, it's been an interesting road adjusting from after the olympic qualifying perioid. But things are slowly working them selves out and i'm glad to say that My partner derrick and I will be competing in our 4th Pan american Team tournament and 5th Individual tournament this week in Lima Peru. Wish us luck and we hope to make Canada proud again :)

Just returned home from Calgary AB after competing in the 2012 Manulife Yonex Canadian Badminton Championships and happy to say that we retained our title as the men's doubles champions. It was a tough three sets with our team mates Toby Ng and Jon Vanderveet so thank you guys for the great match. I would also like to congratulate the other winners, Joyce/Grace WD, Toby/Grace XD, Alex Pang MS, and Michelle Li WS. Great job ! Thanks for the support from everybody and especially my coach and family/friends!!

happy new years to all of my supporters and more than that you guys are my friends. With out all of you all of the accomplishments this year may not have come true. Hello to all my friends. Sorry that i'm so bad at updating all of you with what is going on in my world of badminton. It has been quite a long journey so far with a 3 week asian tour in Hong Kong, China, and Macau. But happy to report that I Just finished playing the last tournament of the year which was the Yonex Canadian International Challenge and ending 2011 with 2 international wins. (Puerto Rico Int. Challenge and Yonex Canadian International Challenge.) Now just gonna rest up and get ready for 2012 the final push :)

Lost a tough one today again. We had a rematch with the russians again, and came up short losing a close 2 sets 21-17, 26-24. I guess the most frustrating part is always just coming up short. But with every loss there is a lesson to be learned. Hopefully we Can only improve from this point just have to work hard at it.

Today wasn't so great, came up short in the tournament losing to the russian team. Next time have to believe and just fight back! Brazil next hopefully we can get a rematch.

MD FInals with Russia tmw Guatemala International Challenge

Just spent a week in calgary with Derrick Ng, Joycelyn Ko, Toby Ng, Grace Gao, Dan kai, Sun Yang, Jon Vanderveet, Alan Chow, Matt Chan, and winter club juniors training with Kim D**g Moon. I want to extend my greatest gratitude to Kim D**g Moon for teaching us all this week and also for hosting Derrrick, Joyce, and I at his house. What a great week of practice this was, and thanks to everyone in the camp for helping us practice. You guys are awesome!!!!!

The Heat really got to us, as we were so close to taking the 2nd set which would of won us the match. Many lessons learned this trip now it's time to prepare for qualifications in Singapore, thanks for the support along the way!!!

Sorry for the late updates, but we just finished the tournament in maldives what a hot day it was. Unfortunately my partners and I were unable to advanced to the finals for our events. Joyce and i Fell short to the mixed pair from India in 2 sets, and Derrick and i fought hard in MD's match but came short in 3 sets.

As for team ties we lost to singapore, won against U.S.A won against Netherlands and lost our cross over tie with Hong Kong 3-2. Now we are in Singapore training a bit and just getting ready for Maldives. Hope everyone is doing well, and i'll try to keep everyone updated haha. Sorry about the late posts
