Dogs at Acadia Woods

Hi everyone! We’re looking for a few position over at Dogs at Acadia Woods starting mid-August. Possibility of part time and full time.

Someone to help with kennel work from mid August - November. This would be include letting dogs in/out, feeding, giving love, taking for walks, scooping p**p, cleaning kennels, and general work with pups. This would be two separate shifts. One is 7-10ish AM and then again between 2-5 PM. We’d be looking for 2-3 people for this as we need someone everyday!

Looking for 2/3 people to help with daycare! This would be year round! This would be watching and ensuring the pups are safe and playing happily in our daycare area. We’re hoping to hire enough help to always have two people upstairs. We have this Monday-Friday 7 AM - 5 PM. This would work for someone that could only do partial days to, as we normally break this up into two shifts!

For these positions, we are looking for people who are INCREDIBLY reliable, as the dogs don’t take breaks! We are looking for people who are comfortable with dogs and aren’t nervous with different breeds and different temperaments. We provide training. Please reach out with any interest or questions!

For the fall, we’re looking for a full time groomer starting Oct. 1! This position comes with housing available! Please reach out if you know anyone!

Here’s Grizzly! He is a 7 year old, Chesapeake Bay Retriever, with an extensive amount of training, including hunting and kennel trained. great with dogs, livestock, and kids! He’s currently in a home with a whole farm, a bunch of dogs, and a kid running around! He just needs a little more exercise and more one on one time than he’s able to have now!! Ive had the pleasure of being around him and he’s a huge cuddle bug that would love nothing more than to sit on your lap and follow you to every corner in the house!

He would make an amazing addition to any family who is lucky enough to call him theirs! Please message with any questions! Please share to help him find his forever family!

Please no judgement as this is such a hard decision for his family.

Just a couple quick notes for our daycare parents:

🐾 for all daycare dogs, we are asking that you begin booking days for when your pups will be with us! We’re asking at a minimum for two weeks in advance! Just let us know the next time you come in! This will allow us to know when we will be full or when we’ll have availability to take in some new buddies!

🐾for daycare dogs drop off will be 7-10 AM!

We just found one on this sweet boy and want to remind everyone to check their pups for the 🤢 nasty little bugs 🤢and check with their vet if they find one!

Hi everyone!

We’re once again asking for some help in finding a pup in our care a new loving home. Rocky is a beautiful black, unfixed, male German shepherd. He has so much love to give and is so sweet when he warms up to people. 🥹 Within minutes of a proper meeting, he was giving kisses and accepting pets all over. He’s ~13 months old and couldn’t look any healthier. He’s good with other pups, but again needs proper meetings. Not sure on cats.

He is well trained but, we’d prefer someone with experience with German Shepherds or strong breeds. He’s better with women but I’m sure would warm up to the right man!

He was not treated very nicely at a younger age and is very nervous around hands (hands extended at him for introductions, above his head, quick arm movement, etc… until he’s comfortable with you). He needs a slow and correct introduction to new people and needs to be on his own terms with when he’s okay with new people. Not good with running up to strangers to meet.

He should be in a home with not many new visitors in and out, we’re not sure about kids so preferably no kids in the home, and someone who is willing to continue having him work with a trainer.
