First snow of this season!
A beautiful hike around the property this morning. We hit all four ridge lines / plateaus, and even without the leaves the views were spectacular. The blue sky was reflecting in the creeks and ponds and the Hudson was shimmering as well. We surprised a buck and heard a woodpecker tapping away.
Beautiful November morning light - but I missed the eclipse!
Window views: the library, kids nook in the library, and master closet!
Such a pretty place.
Around the farm today!

Down across the lower meadow on the other side of Mill Creek are more lovely meadows to explore and a bird paradise (sound on):

We are currently developing a new program at the recently completed Tour Stop 7, the location of the German fortified camp. It was at this location where the Second Battle of Saratoga became a decisive American victory and changed history. Tomorrow, August 19 and Thursday, August 25, you can meet a Park Ranger in the Stop 7 parking lot at 11:00 am for a one hour-long walking tour describing this pivotal moment. You should arrive in the park no later than 10:30 am to have enough time to make it to Stop 7 for the start of the tour. The tour route is generally non-strenuous, although there is some change in elevation. The path to the top of Stop 7 is fully accessible, however the tour does take a short jaunt down the grass path to the bottom of the hill and then back up. If you can't make it on those two days, keep your eyes on this page or our calendar at https://www.nps.gov/sara/planyourvisit/calendar.htm for more opportunities this fall!

Mama deer has twins!
Our recent guest shared these early morning photos she took and said of the view: “It was my favorite part of the house. The early morning was so peaceful and beautiful.”
Another pretty afternoon by the pool at the farm.
We spent the afternoon and evening by the pool to the sound track of cicadas and the resident family of wild turkeys gobbling. The water was so warm, the moon was so bright and the sunset made pretty pink clouds. Just lovely.
Is that Willard Mountain ⛷️🏂 over there across the river? Loving the summer blue skies and so much greenery, so peaceful.
The perfect spot to spend hot summer days by the pool. Complete privacy and views for miles! Only 20 minutes from historic Saratoga Racecourse, and it could be yours:

Wowee! Our most recent guest shared this photo they snapped looking up at the house from the fire pit in the back yard. Pretty nice, right? We just listed the property for sale, so it could be yours...
Summer is here!
Afternoon sunshine on the front entrance. Who wants to come here? 🙋♂️🙋♀️🙋
There's plenty of space for play and sleep in the kids' room, with twin-over-full bunk beds, a sturdy crib, and still space leftover to set up the rollaway bed if needed.
What a pleasure it was to host the oh-so-elegant McGuire-Haley wedding in October. We were glad to help our friends celebrate their day!

The pool is closed for winter, so warm up in the steam room or our indoor hot tub!
We have a beautiful new sign, done in metal by the very talented Alex Design.
The new hibiscus appreciates the rain
It's fun to see this mama deer and her fawn happily at home in our meadow.
We have a gas grill in a screened area, and plenty of space for outdoor dining on the deck with views across the Hudson!
Master suite... How many shoes can you bring?
Wow, what a gorgeous day!
We've got the perfect place to spend a hot afternoon:
Despite the cold snap, our summer is underway, the pool is open and guests are here! We still some availability in June and September.

A new exhibit at the Laffer Gallery just up the road in Schuylerville.
While we are so lucky to have the national park right in our backyard, we also highly recommend a trip to the state park!
