Everyone is falling in love with Hofgut Falkenstein! Swing by while it lasts.
āWeāre privileged to welcome stunning wines from Hofgut Falkenstein, a Mosel gem from the Talchen valley in Saar. It is rare to find any artisan so driven towards his perfection of craft, but to the Webers, there is nothing more important.
Every step of the process receives the highest priority. Choices as subtle as grass selection and as hefty as time of harvest are nodded to in their choice to bottle based on the A.P. numbering system: each label makes transparent not only the estate and village of the producer, but the site at which the specific bottle was tested at, the lot number (going beyond even the specificity of Burgundian labeling), and the year the bottle was submitted to be tested. Falkenstein wines are both precise and pleasing.

loves @ illahevineyards and so do we! known for doing things the old fashioned way in their winemaking techniques. ILLAHE translates to āland, soil or placeā in the native Chinook language.
Hand harvested, horse (named Doc and Bea) drawn carriages, gravity led winemaking, native fermentation, wooden basket pressed, hand dipped wax tops, solar powered and rainwater collection are just a few things to describe how theyāre reducing their carbon footprint in their natural winemaking process.
We canāt say enough great things about this wine! For starters, its fragrant aromas keeps you coming back for another whiff! Itās palate coating with notes of roses, nutmeg, cherry, sweet to***co, pepper and plum.

loves Marc Plouzeau and we do too! Loving this Producer Spotlight!
Marc Plouzeauās wines have long been a staff favorite, and with good reason! His wines produced at ChaĢteau de la BonnelieĢre offer the perfect window into the world of Loire Valley wines.
Marc assumed control of the ChaĢteau from his father in 1999 and immediately set about restoring the vineyards through organic practices. He has since gained a reputation for crafting traditionally styled, well-balanced wines that speak highly of their respective terroirs.
The Rive Gauche Chinon Rouge is the backbone of the ChaĢteau. Produced from 100% Cabernet Franc, it is all about freshness and approachability. It is full bodied but fresh and lively with subtle tannins. The 2022 vintage offers notes of ripe raspberries, blackberries, and spice with a long finish and a pulsing mineral undercurrent.
Marc also works with Sauvignon Blanc from the nearby village of Touraine, crafting a bright, fresh, and lively Sauvignon Blanc that is simply thirst quenching! Crisp and mineral-driven, this classic Loire Valley Sauvignon Blanc hits all the right notes of green apple, chamomile, quince, and crushed stone.
Itās always a pleasure to drink these wines, as vintage after vintage they dazzle with quality, affordable price point, and utterly satisfying palate.
Congrats to John, Rory & the whole team on their Zinfandel being named Wine of the week!

In 2023, Burgundy is a hard category to find well-priced, well-made wines. One of our favorite perennial stud value selections delivers a heck of a lot of wine for under-$40, and is just about as reliable as they come. The producer is Domaine Arnoux and of all the wine they produce, the one we like best is their Chorey-les-Beaune āBeaumontsā.
The 2018 is lithe and elegant with ripe red cherry and juicy strawberry abounding, wrapping up in a floral, spice box-like finish. Super hard to beat for the $35 price tag.
