Can you see the ancient foot paths? These trails have been around for hundreds, even thousands of years in some parts. In New Mexico, hand and foot trails such as these can be found dotting the landscape, providing a literal footpath into the places people before us experienced life.

Located on the outskirts of the Santa Fe, Bandelier National Monument is a place that can be visited publically today, but remember to pack in, pack out. It is a protected area of over 33,000 acres and a developing human history going back 11,000 years. Artwork, masonry and dwellings are preserved still today.

Maintain the ecosystem by not altering any portion of the environment. Respect nature and its inhabitants.
