The almost abandoned bizarre replica of some European architecture in Zhongzhou Island (中洲岛) has always been triggering the imagination of my "expat" friends, including Videos By Caine, who planned to do a story about assassination there in late 2019. And it takes almost a year to eventually gather our buddies of cameramen - Foto and Valery together, who had to tender their kids while filming, and after trimming the number of actors to only...one.

for the "七日命题短片制作7-day shorts making activity under the given theme" through the collaboration with Videos By Caine in 2019. The given theme of that year is 'it is fate that makes us meet (山水相逢，三生有幸)'. And the year of 2019 does seem like some fate that makes the world different from what it was --yes, the turmoil of times is the very thing we are talking about in this story.
