A cap is an obvious choice for many but doesn't shield your neck and ears from the sun. Wearing a wide-brimmed hat outdoors is a great way to protect your hair, eyes and skin from the sun's ultraviolet (UV) rays. It can also be the finishing touch to any outfit. Choose one that can be easily packed or treat yourself when you get to the resort.
Straw hats were made for summer; they're light-weight and breathable. You can change the feel of your straw hat by adding a colourful scarf.
Fedoras, originally worn by men, have become much more popular for women in the last few years. They add a touch of elegance to any outfit. The angular design balances round face shapes.
Think about your scale, if you are tall, try a wide brim, but avoid smaller versions, which will look out of proportion with the rest of your body. If you are shorter in height, you will benefit from a brim that is narrower than your shoulders.
